Sometimes it feels like the Buffs O-line will always be Shedeur Sanders kryptonite. We had all expected that the boys and Deion Sanders would learn something from the NDSU game. But nope. The Huskers wiped the floor with Buffs and ended Deion’s hope of winning another rivalry game against Nebraska. During the game, Shedeur was sacked 5 times. The O-line was a disaster. If this is called “revamping” then Deion Sanders needs to work on his vocabulary. Throughout the first half, we saw how easily Huskers QB Dylan Raiola and RB Dante Dowdell managed to run past the offense.

So, to make up for it, Shedeur decided it would be to post a cryptic message on X on September 10th. “New week let’s work,” Shedeur mentioned in the caption, and fans were not having it. After the stunt he pulled during the Nebraska game, it is no wonder why fans were quick to call out Shedeur. “Ret–ded nepo baby,” a fan pointed out on X. Yes, the O-line was bad, but leaving the field while you still have 2 mins on the clock during the 4th quarter is insane. This was an immature move and then going to say, “How many times did Raiola get touched?” during the post-game conference was even more dumb. Yes, Shedeur was not protected well, and yes, Raiola got out scot-free, but the Buffs QB made his fair share of mistakes. One thing ESPN’s Jordan Reid had pointed out long back is the fact that Shedeur and his inability to let go of the pigskin at crucial times is something he needs to work on. This is exactly what we saw happen that day. The Buffs were on NEGATIVE rushing yards. Think about it. The Nebraska defense was good, no doubt, but why didn’t Shedeur even try to make plays?

Even the throws he did make were not on point. Although known for his accuracy on the field, we still saw Shedeur miss multiple passes. One of the crucial ones was to Travis Hunter when he was standing in the end-zone. Shedeur threw the football way too high and, understandably, Hunter was fuming. While Deion Sanders and Shedeur still have time to fix the differences and win the Rams game, the fans don’t think it’ll end well for the boys.

It ain’t a good day to be Shedeur Sanders

“Don’t walk out early and s–t talk your o lineman this week!” was the first thing a fan pointed out. As we noted before, Shedeur, for some odd reason, decided to walk off and then bash his offensive line. However, a team is built upon the chemistry between the players and Shedeur lacked it big time. His plays and the O-line’s plays were on completely different levels and they need to sync up. One more fan mentioned, “Daddy b-ll merchant.” This was inevitable. Shedeur and Deion were always too proud and maybe this loss to the Huskers would be the perfect reality check for them.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Shedeur Sanders all hype, or can he actually lead his team to redemption after Nebraska?

Have an interesting take?

“This guy 😂😂😂” a fan noted after seeing Shedeur’s post. Once called the best QB in CFB, now he is just a laughingstock. We saw how the Huskers players blasted Shedeur Sanders’ song “Perfect Timing” inside the locker room to make fun of the QB. Deion is taking one step ahead and 2 steps back. Finally, a fan mentioned, “Maybe this week, you won’t quit on your team.” Now see, Shedeur has the talent. He, in no way, is overrated. Yes, the guy has some issues with his attitude and all that, but if we break it all down and look at his stats, he is a monster on the field. Now it is up to Coach Prime to figure out what to do with the offensive line. This season cannot turn into a repeat telecast of the 2023 season.
