The referees gave Huskers tight end Thomas Fidone a penalty for offensive pass interference. Because of this, they even did not count a 22-yard touchdown by running back Rahmir Johnson. This made head coach Matt Rhule so furious that he threw his headset on the ground. Well, that gesture of his was not received well, as the team was imposed with 15 yards of penalties for his disrespectful behavior.
After the game, Matt Rhule even mentioned the team’s increasing penalties, which triggered him to take such violent action, saying, “I was just mad.”. Well, against all odds, the team was successful and secured a high-margin win of 10-28 against the Purdue Boilermakers. This win was very important for the Huskers after their embarrassing loss of 24-31 against Illinois in week 4. Next week, the Huskers are going to face the Rutgers.
