Alabama’s top-rated quarterback, Jalen Milroe, continues to live up to the pre-season hype after Bama’s 42-16 victory over South Florida last Saturday. This is the first time coach DeBoer found himself in a tight spot, as the first two quarters were pretty concerning, with the Tide reeling off a modest 14-6 lead by halftime. But that lackluster upper hand transitioned into a greater dominance with the players’ next play approach in the last half. Milroe played his parts, taking the team to a 21-13 lead. Despite multiple sackings marring his glory from time to time, the QB is just happy to see his team pulling out a win with tremendous grit.

But this meteoric rise, both individually and collectively, couldn’t have even been a reality if the Texas-raised quarterback hadn’t committed to the Bama back in 2021. After a three-year tenure, Milroe still looks back and deems it as the best decision of his life.

Alabama’s top-rated quarterback has come a long way under the wise guidance of coach DeBoer, honing his skill to the next level. In the pristine victory in the season opener, his six spectacular touchdowns, and three passes carried a good testament to it. His ability to read the pulses and quickly push the ball to the right man also made him a prompt yet precise decision-maker. His previous season-high was a 69-yard, two-touchdown game against Mississippi State. Last year, he bagged the coveted Heisman Trophy, succeeding Bryce Young. But all this progresses is a slow transpiration. He had to undergo a heck of a windstorm.

But as they say, sometimes we need to break off a great comfort chain to make something even greater, something Milroe’s father, Quentin Milroe, knows the best. He pushed his indecisive son to drop the home proximity factor attached to Texas and embrace a new challenge in Alabama.

Explaining the mindset in detail, during the latest edition of the Pivot podcast, the top QB said, ”My dad said this to me that you sacrifice these next four years you get to your next 40 years right that you don’t see right now but that big decision it’s all about sacrificing everything now so you can get everything you want in your future and that was a thought process I had when it came to recruiting process right nil was a wasn’t implemented in the recruiting process.

”De-commit from Texas was a difficult decision but once I made my mind up that I wanted to go to the University of Alabama I was at ease right and I was I felt as if I made the best decision for myself.”, the young prodigy concluded with a beholden heart.

Milroe, however, left his dream team after coach Nick Saban stepped down in a shell-shocking course of events. After a brief pause and reevaluation, the GOAT in making reverted to the Crimson Tide this year, releasing the shades of uncertainty without Saban.

Jalen Milroe incorporated a significant change in his game outlook ahead of a smashing season

DeBoer took charge of the Crimson Tide this year after Nick Saban wrapped up his deal. It quite obviously invited a lot of frowning eyes to his caliber. While his previous stats are enough to make anyone believe in a greater future for Alabama, fans have an innate knack for being suspicious. But Jalen Mliore seems to be the answer to them. The game-changer QB, who was already unstoppable under Saban, with 20 plus TDs and more than 3200 yards, improved his game even more with a useful, handy change in approach. During a pre-season interview with Bama Central, Milroe spilled his secret to ace all the upcoming matches. He kept his daily goals over aiming for a long-term championship.

”Our goal ultimately is each game that goes by”, the 21-year-old mogul noted and the outshot is pretty visible.
