The impressive five-star recruit who is ‘not waiting to be great, but will get it.’  Well, analyst Darrell Dapprich has already made his stance clear that Auburn will thrive under his leadership.

In an episode of the podcast ‘Locked on Auburn,’ Darrell Dapprich put down his thoughts, “If Jackson Arnold’s your starter, and I want him to do really really well,” he continues, “But I’m comfortable with Deuce Knight or Daniels playing, and Auburn’s still getting to eight wins.” Of course, the man brought up Ashton Daniels’ name; he said, “I don’t think there’s a catastrophe; some teams can lose their starting quarterback, and it is catastrophic. I’m telling you Auburn can still win eight games with that defense that we’re hearing that they are really excited about, that they are bringing back. There’s chatter that is special, and with that offensive line. With that running game, and that group of receivers, how can Ashton Daniels be any worse than Payton Thorne?” Expectedly, the improved roster has fans and critics alike hoping to see the revitalization of the program.

Needless to say, the 2025 football season for the Tigers in and outside the home ground is full of suspense. The Auburn leader’s position is now balanced with Jackson Arnold on the one side and Deuce Knight on the other side of the weighing scale. It is no news that the Auburn Tigers were having a serious case of missing capable wide receivers. But there is good news for the orange and blue! Why, you ask? They have managed to usher in new talents who are capable of reaching 1000 yards.

First on the list is Darius Gray, the five-star official lineman whom Auburn is seeking out. Next up is Dominic Harris. The 6’7 feet and five-star offensive tackle dude from Las Vegas. Luckily for Auburn, his ideals seem to align with what the Tigers can offer. Finally, Dalton Toothman, the looming presence with a 6’5 feet, 270-pound offensive tackle, the very one from the trenches.

It is evident that HC Hugh Freeze is hell-bent on breaking the shackle of non-eight wins. Looking back, it has been five years since the Tigers brought eight games back home. With the program going all out this season, perhaps the good news is near. Unless there are no major injuries that might set the team back.
