Is Shannon Sharpe underestimating Travis Hunter's potential to be elite in the NFL?

Let the success make the noise. Well, that’s how Travis Hunter likes to shut his trollers. Earlier this week, the Broncos Legend made a bold statement that players who have dual skills in College Football “can’t be elite in the NFL”. This comment directly criticized Hunter’s dual skills as a player. Also raised questions about his future in the NFL. But Hunter knows exactly how to keep it subtle yet sarcastic.

Today, he took to IG to post his paid partnership endorsement with United Airlines. In the video, Travis was running all over the flying pit and ticket counter. Welcoming people saying “welcome onboard”. Travis was doing everything in the video. With this, he posted a sarcastic caption saying “just a reminder that I can play more than 1 position”. He responded directly to the Denver Legend’s previous comments, but in a lighter tone. With each passing day, Travis Hunter’s next year’s transfer to the NFL is getting all the attention. There were doubts raised by the Denver Broncos QB on his two-way athletic skills, and Travis’s funny take to the whole incident was very clever.

Travis Hunter is clearing all the misconceptions people have about his two-way game with his satirical response. After the incident took place, Deion Sanders Jr. also supported Travis. In a conversation with Matt McChesney in the Zero 2 Sixty podcast, Deion Jr. took a dig at the legend saying “I heard Champ Bailey say it’s not likely you know that it’s not going to be able to happen but you know people only say that when they’ve never seen it done.” Well, he is not wrong. Travis Hunter’s exceptional playing skills helped the Colorado Buffs secure their first victory against North Dakota with a significant 31-26 margin.

Travis’s versatility and strengths were an added advantage for the team’s offense. He played almost every snap, only stepping out of the field for two non-special team plays. Hunter recorded seven catches running for 132 yards as a wide receiver, demonstrating his dominance in the team’s offense. Even ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. agrees to this after the season opener. He praised Travis on his offensive game by saying, “On offense, he’s too spectacular”. Next week, the Buffs will go up against Nebraska. With Travis Hunter’s dual-game prowess, the Buffs will have an advantage. Which team are you supporting? Do let us know in the comments.
