Bryce Underwood – the name is enough to attract the immediate attention of college football fans. Now come on, we all have seen how the No.1 recruit had kept everyone on their toes. At first, he committed to Brian Kelly’s LSU Tigers. That’s when Michigan Wolverines HC Sherrone Moore got lucky to have him on his hood. Underwood definitely has that oomph factor when it comes to athletic skills.

But looks like he carries this main character energy in the off-field as well. Now that the 2025 season still has some time to lift the curtains, some flex won’t hurt. That’s when Underwood proudly flaunted his $318K worth of prized possessions. But hold on! Underwood will have to prepare himself to fight for his position.

Bryce Underwood is living life big-size

The NIL-influenced flip in Underwood’s case had definitely turned heads. Reportedly, the QB had committed to the Tigers who offered to pay him $1.5 million annually for four years. But it took the Wolverines no time to blow the deal out of the water. After all, their desperation for a long-term option under center was there. Luckily, they had the billionaire and software and media tycoon, Larry Ellison to sponsor the venture. And BOOM! Moore landed Underwood dishing out an offer he could not refuse. Their four-year deal was reportedly worth $10 million, which is assumed by some to go up to $12 million. Another organization that apparently was crucial in pulling this off: Michigan NIL collective Champions Circle. Now that Underwood found his new home, the QB is living his life. A shiny new ride, and an exquisite timepiece.

On March 10, the Michigan QB made an IG post that contained a series of snaps with the caption, “💎.” Even though the first picture is a snap from his practice, holding a pigskin, he carefully dropped some flex in between. The next showed him posing in front of a pearly white-colored Lamborghini Urus worth $278k. Now this must be his first luxury car purchase. Earlier he had utilized his NIL fund to gift himself a new vehicle to drive around. It was a brand new 2025 Tahoe RST. Underwood did not forget to show his fans a glimpse of the car’s inside. It has multiple touchscreens, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen for navigation and an 8.6-inch touchscreen for climate control. Looks like Underwood, has picked up one of Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders’ interests as well.

The next few pictures had him either posing in front of a Ferris wheel or busy in the throwing action. But the last picture of the thread again catches attention. Underwood just posted a snap of his tattooed arm. And the highlight? His shiny Rolex Datejust. The self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch is worth $40.5K. However, no matter how much the QB keeps himself busy with his new possession, a crisis is looming at the corner.

The first real test awaits Bryce Underwood

There was a time when the Wolverines had put blinkers on. All they could see was Underwood. However, stepping into Ann Arbor, the quarterback finally got a reality check. The QB1 spot is up for grabs and it’s not about him but three others as well. The competition in Moore’s squad is real. Underwood will now have to fight for his spot and outshining three others – Jadyn Davis, Chase Herbstreit, and Mikey Keene – is the need of the hour for Underwood.

Michigan’s first battle this season will be against the Oklahoma Sooners as they will be traveling to Norman on September 6. Now this is not something that the 17-year-old QB had signed up for. After all, Underwood is a newbie. He will have to face the Sooners, who have one of the best defensive units in the country. Last season, they ranked 18th in the country in stop rate, stopping the opposition 70.8 percent of the time. However, Moore is unlikely to pin his hopes on his backups as well. That’s why he can’t afford to let Underwood sit on the bench.

The ROC Boys football podcast host sounded an alarm on the same note, “The week number two you’re going, you’re kind of throwing Bryce Underwood into the fire going on the road to Norman Oklahoma against the Brent Venables defense.” Sherrone Moore’s bold bet on his new gem — a masterstroke or a misfire? Only time will tell! And let’s not rush the narrative. For now, let’s enjoy watching Bryce Underwood own the spotlight.
