Ever wondered how NIL deals really work in college sports? When it comes to NIL, who is better than the millionaire Sanders brothers? Deion Sanders’s youngest son and Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur has been in the limelight for quite some time now for hoarding the top spot in NIL.
On August 22, on the One Night with Steiny podcast, Shedeur and Shilo cleared up some misconceptions diving into bursting the NIL myths. And this is not the first time that the Buffs QB has been vocal about calling out the hypocrisy surrounding the NIL deals.

On the podcast, host Aaron Steinberg cuts to the chase about how things revolve around the players now that NIL has ushered in so much competition. To which Shedeur pops the bubble of how players never disclose their proceedings as far as the NIL landscape is concerned, “Nobody. Everybody is secret with everybody like each other,” confirms the Buffs QB. Steinberg then highlighted how the dollar divide is evident, “You pull up in a Rolls truck, he [Shilo] pulls up in the Cyber truck, and then Broski’s walking…does it cause any kind of controversy?”
To which Shedeur assures, “It doesn’t because at the end of the day it’s college football nowadays so everybody’s getting paid yeah like 90% of the team.” Shilo, who was seated beside his brother the whole time, too decided to pop the myths. NIL often pushes players to hop from one program to the other. However, it’s a BIG NO-NO for the Buffs’ safety. According to him, “You only get one college career, so it’s like you make the wrong move.” The Sanders bros are old pros at this NIL chit-chat.

Shedeur Sanders calls out on the hypocrisy in NIL reactions
Shedeur has put up monstrous numbers for himself in the NIL landscape. As per the On3 reports, they have his valuation placed at $4.6 million. However, for his NIL numbers, the Buffs QB had a rough tumble in the muck before. The ex-Buffs backup QB Gavin Kuld ripped him off for his supposedly selfish spending habits supported by his NIL money. Finally, Shedeur got the opportunity to address the issue on a big platform like the Big 12 Media Days.

At the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the Sanders brothers were under the same roof. And how could Shilo resist himself from not bringing up the NIL topic? He shed light on the public’s changing notions surrounding NIL, “The thing about it is like all right everybody fights so hard to get NIL now we have it now everybody wants to hate on it right.”

And here came Shedeur with his on-spot briefing as he attempted to highlight the hypocritic scenario. He quipped, “You can’t fight, you can’t. You can’t ask to get paid and then when people get paid and you hate on each other. That don’t that just don’t that just don’t make sense.”
With college life and the NIL deal soon coming to an end for Shedeur, how do you think the future would pan out for the Buffs star? Let us know in the comments below.
