Louisville is going hard at spring practice, and so are its supporters. QB Miller Moss seems to have found one in a very special friend who is vocal about his talents. In a new setting for his final season, some loved ones are rooting for him back home in California. Spring practice is also going as planned for the new QB, a talent worthy of taking note of. Moss moved to Louisville after missing out on 2 years during his time at USC Trojans. But in 2023, he started his career with a bang. In the 2023 Holiday Bowl game, Moss made a record six touchdowns against Louisville, winning 42-28. Who knew then that two years later, this would be his new home down the line?
Well, the story was meant to go a lot differently. At the start of the 2024 season, Moss had the QB Whisperer in his ears. The Trojans’ head coach, Lincoln Riley, has a history of producing Heisman-worthy quarterbacks, the potential No. 1 picks. When Moss led the Trojans to an emphatic away victory against LSU, it looked like Riley had done his magic again. Not really. Moss started 9 games and was replaced by Jayden Maiava after the Trojans fell to 4-5. A loss to the Huskies was the final straw for Riley. Was the poor offensive outing down to Moss? Not really. But his interceptions, failure to convert third downs, and some avoidable sacks didn’t help the offense.
Now, we’re here. New season, new pastures. Miller Moss will start as the Cardinals’ QB this season. However, an important person is still back in California: his girlfriend, Sofia Hildebrand. But love seems to traverse all distances as she makes her support known for Moss, loud and clear.

The Cardinals posted some visuals from their Spring Ball, including those of Moss. Two weeks down, things look swimmingly for Moss. He was seen making some throws, and we know he’s got quite the power in his arm to make some great ones. In the comments, Hildebrand ushered in the cheer for Moss, who wrote, “I heard from a little bird you have the greatest QB in the country.” Other positive comments also poured in for Moss, happy that the former USC QB will now lead the Cardinal’s offense.

Observers at the practice game also had good things to note from Moss’ performance. Sports Illustrated reports that the new QB “stood out,” because he “regularly displayed a much more snappy ball than everyone else in the quarterback room.” Coach Jeff Brohm had more good things to say about Moss as well. Looks like there might be some truth behind the words of his no. 1 supporter, after all.

Miller Moss’ performance in Louisville Spring Camp
Miller Moss seemed to be meeting expectations right from the beginning of spring practice at Louisville. “I like Miller a lot,” Brohm said during the initial days of spring practice. “He’s shown a great understanding at this point. I think he can control the football and throw it. I think he wants to work hard to be a leader and sometimes when you get guys that just have one year left, they want to make the most of it and they’re dedicated to get that done. That’s a great quality.” That’s quite the praise for QB who’s brand new at the team, so we know Moss is going to deliver a noteworthy performance as the season begins.

Yesterday’s practice, too, saw Miller keeping up his standards. For Card Chronicle, Keith Wynne wrote that he played “as expected as a veteran player.” He also did well “moving around the pocket” because the defense had a “strong day” by rushing the passer. Wynne also says that Moss played better than he expected in the planned option plays made for him.

Moss might just be the Cardinals’ trump card this season. This is the same guy who “torched” their defense back in 2023. Moss has some impressive stats from his last year at Trojans too: 2,555 yards, 18 touchdowns, and a 64.4% pass completion rate. Now that Moss will play for Louisville, fans are quite happy with that 2023 game. One of them will come from USC, and we know she’ll cheer the loudest.
