Does Mike Sainristil's support for Connor Stalions show true loyalty or blind allegiance to a tainted figure?

That’s something interesting cooking up in college football. Connor Stalions is back in the limelight again. This time, Michigan Wolverines DB Mike Sainristil is cheering for Stalions, who has a role as the defensive coordinator at the Detroit school. But what’s the big deal in supporting Stalions?

The newly appointed coach at Detroit was involved in a scandal, a sign-stealing operation in Jim Harbaugh’s ‘hood. But that did not stop the now Wolverines from rooting for the “most hated man in college football.” Meanwhile, Stalions will be featured in a Netflix series.

On Friday, August 16, Mumford High coach William McMichael confirmed to ESPN that he has found faith in Stalions. However, he has further confirmed that he is working as a volunteer. This was enough to make Sainristil do a happy dance. The DB re-shared the post by Rivas Dot Com in his Instagram story. What struck the Wolverines fans was the bold claim, “State championship loading.”

Stalions had been a low-level football staffer in Harbaugh’s Wolverines. But so what? His low rank did not stop him from getting tangled in a not-so-small scam — so much so that it landed the Wolverines in great soup. The incident is not too old and is from last year’s October. It was Stalions whose name surfaced as the mastermind of a vast network. The same network sent different people to games comprising Harbaugh’s opponents using the tickets he caught hold of over a three-year timeline. And BOOM! These people ended up recording the teams’ signs. And this was the last nail as “the most hated man in college football” got suspended with pay by Michigan on October 20. This was enough for Stalions to become an intriguing character to woo the entertainment giant, Netflix.
