The Aggies had long enjoyed the benefits of joining the SEC in 2012. For some time, they were the lone team reaping the benefits of the SEC in recruitment. All that changed when the Longhorns decided they would also play ball in the same conference. Dynamics changed, coaches became more vigilant, and the race to land the best recruits turned wide open. And why would it not?
For one, the State of Texas is a hotbed of talent in America. Secondly, the Aggies haven’t been much better of late. However, the only thing still standing strong in their team is their recruitment, and it seems they are doing everything in that regard. For context, hear this: Ethan Feaster, one of the wide receiver talents hailing from Texas, has been for too long the target of the Aggies. They are the ones still having the most probability to avail his services as per On3. But, what if anyone tells you that all that could change? That another bully is pulling all the strings to land him?

Well, it is none other than Dan Lanning‘s Oregon. According to the latest intel, it seems Oregon has gained an edge in landing the 4-star prospect, who is ranked in the top 50 nationally. Max Torres, an Oregon Insider, provided the update. “Oregon Has a Chance to Move the Needle With Top-50 WR Ethan ‘Boobie’ Feaster This Spring. The DeSoto (Tex.) wideout has his eye on the Ducks and a trip to Eugene on the schedule after reclassifying to 2026″. So, does that mean that the player is going to Oregon?
Not quite, actually. Ethan Feaster has several visits scheduled that range from Alabama on March 6 to 8, LSU around March 14, and Texas around March 29. He will also visit Miami on June 5 and the USC Trojans on June 6. So far, it seems he has kept his options quite open. But then there’s the other thing. He has been constantly in touch with Lanning and his new WR coach Ross Douglas. The player even has a friend in their squad, as he revealed in a recent statement…

Ethan Feaster reveals more about his commitment
First and foremost, Feaster highlighted the love of the sports that he carries and the job Lanning is doing with his program. Then, he talked about why Oregon could be a potential place for him, without explicitly saying so. “If you want me to be honest, it’s gonna go to the uniforms first, of course, then probably passing the ball. For me, Oregon always has somebody fast, so it’s speed. Those two things. And Kori (Dakroien Moore). Because I’m really close with Kori. I’ll be watching a lot of Oregon football this year for him for sure.” For context, Moore is a player of the class of 2025 enrolled at Oregon. He also hails from Texas and plays as a WR and is a friend of Feaster. The question now is when Feaster is going to commit and where.
Well, Feaster has provided a timeline of his expected commitment. He said, “I’m gonna try to commit before the season, but if it doesn’t happen, I’m gonna try to do it the first three games.” That essentially means one thing: That the player will actually look at all his options before jumping on any final decision. As to the other question, where will he go? Well, right now, Texas A&M and LSU are running top in probabilities to land him. Although Texas, USC, and Miami are some of the other programs that are also in the running, Oregon could be a wild card, depending on how things go when he visits them in the spring.
