So is Sherrone Moore axing his leg with the Bryce Underwood flip? See, we had all thought that Brian Kelly would get the last laugh and Underwood would stick with his commitment to the Tigers but if some billionaire calls you up and says that they’ll pay you double what your current team is paying, then there is always a flip on the horizon. That is exactly what happened in this scenario. Putting in more than $10 million on the table easily turned the tables to favor Michigan and before you know it, Bryce Underwood is a Wolverine. But here is the thing: This flip is a double-edged sword for both Underwood and Sherrone Moore.
Michigan has no quarterback depth. They have a walk-on (Davis Warren) who has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns, and Alex Orji is just average at best. And this kind of sets up Underwood as the new leader to take the Michigan offense to another level. This is exactly where the problem lies. “He better be ready mentally to take that on because he’s going to be expected to be the starter before the end of spring practice,” Brian Smith points out on Locked On SEC.

See, if Underwood had stayed with LSU, he would’ve gotten a whole year to properly develop and understand the game. Garrett Nussmeier is staying back with the Tigers, so this gives Underwood more than enough time to learn.
But here in Michigan, he doesn’t have that comfort. The moment this dude decided to accept that money, he sealed his fate as the starting QB of the team. Now, don’t get us wrong. Underwood is amazing when it comes down to the game.
He is literally the No.1 QB in the entire country for the class of 2025. But is this enough to get him ready for a schedule that will have teams like the Buckeyes, Huskers, or Sooners? “If he is willing to take the bows and arrows in year one, then he will jump right into it,” Chris Gordy adds. At the end of the day, we still have to wait and see how this pans out for the Wolverines. At the minimum, Underwood will still be better than Orji or Warren, right? And hey, this ain’t the only concerning part for Michigan right now.
Michigan money ain’t gonna last that long

No, we do not mean the team is running out of money. See, this entire Underwood discussion brings us to a very important point: how easy it is to just snatch away a player from another team by throwing in more dollars.
But here is the deal: it doesn’t always work that way, and Moore learned it the hard way. The Wolverines had 5-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson on their crosshair, and people had thought that Moore might end up getting him.
Michigan entered the race by throwing in a scholarship for Gibson a few weeks back. Now did they succeed? No. “5 ⭐️ EDGE Isaiah Gibson will sign with Georgia today despite a late NIL-heavy push from Michigan,” Aiden Sen shared on X.

Yeah, Kirby Smart and Dawgs are keeping Gibson, and this shows that money can’t buy everything out there. It’s national signing day, and Gibson is going to the Bulldogs. What this guy did do is kind of troll Michigan into thinking he was joining them by repping them on his Instagram stories in the morning. Kinda funny.
