Did Alex Orji just channel his inner Shawn Michaels with that unscathed walk-off? What a legend!

Who would have doubted that the Michigan Wolverines vs USC Trojans matchup would not be interesting? We didn’t. So far, the game is living up to the hype. With Michigan leading the first quarter with a high-margin score of 14-3 against USC, Michigan’s freshman/star quarterback Alex Orji is showcasing remarkable gameplay in the match. But the catch here is Alex is being compared to WWE Legend Shawn Michaels. But why? Let’s get into it.

Today, @scottbell took to X to share his thoughts on Alex Orji’s remarkable performance saying, “Alex Orji just kicking himself up like Shawn Michaels after picking up a first down should be worth 15 points on its own.” Alex Orji channels WWE Legend Shawn Michaels aura after walking unscathed from a dangerous hit. Well, usually after getting down on the ground, Shawn Michaels used to get up how Orji did in today’s matchup. Well, that comparison is a milestone in itself.

Despite an exceptional performance against the Arkansas State quarterback, doubts remained about Alex Orji’s abilities. A few days back while discussing ‌Michigan vs USC Trojans odds for their upcoming game, media personality Josh Pete on his show said, “Alex Orji being quarterback, now starting quarterback for Michigan, as I said the other night, kind of removes, let me back up, it should remove a lot of the guesswork about what Michigan is.” Josh not only doubted Alex’s gameplay but also wanted to remove him. However, after today’s matchup, he might have to change his opinion.

The Michigan Wolverines were in a tough spot after quarterback Davis Warren’s several turnovers. Alex Orji filled in quite well for the team, saving their day with a score of 28-18. However, Alex wasn’t the first choice, but his performance on the field secured his place on the team. “Alex will start on Saturday excited for him. He’s been champing at the bit,” said Moore. Based on his outstanding execution in today’s matchup, it seems that Sherrone Moore made the right decision. Let’s see how the game turns out for them.
