It’s an age-old tale of the opposites. In the 2023 season, Michigan were the national champions, and USC had a disappointing end to theirs. Everything has been reversed as we head into the Week 4 match-up between the two sides. Michigan HC Sherrone Moore had an iffy 2-1 start to the season, with a particularly bad loss in Week 2 against Texas. On the other hand, Lincoln Riley’s team is flying so far; they have a 2-0 start and look strong on both sides of the field. Perhaps the biggest contrast between the two teams is at the quarterback position.
USC has their man in Miller Moss. The Wolverines? Well, it didn’t help that Moore wasn’t sure about whether to give their reins to Davis Warren or Alex Orji. He trusted Warren to start the season, but with a victory in Week 3, the QB managed to be in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Eventually, Moore had to let Orji play. Heading into the Week 4 game, Moore has announced that Michigan is making a quarterback change just before its Big Ten opener. Sherrone Moore and his team are trusting Alex Orji over Dravis Warren. Wolverines are set to face the USC Trojans on September 22, but before that, the head coach has his take on their most important player, Miller Moss. He warns Alex Orji and his teammates, urging them to improve and step up their performance as they prepare to face Lincoln Riley’s star boy.
Barstool USC shared a video on X in which the head coach reveals their preparations so far for the Trojans quarterback Miller Moss and their offense. He said, “He just does a really good job of disputing the ball to the playmakers and knowing where to go with the football at all times, so we gotta be smart about how we attack them.” HC emphasized the importance of gameplan and strategy to face Miller Moss.

Miller Moss, a top contender for the 2024 NFL draft
The USC Trojans quarterback is in the headlines because of his impressive performance throughout the season. Experts are predicting he could be a top-three pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and Lincoln Riley believes Moss is the smartest quarterback he has ever coached. Moss has certainly lived up to his head coach’s praise by consistently proving Riley right with his outstanding performance on the field.
With back-to-back wins, USC is at a 3-0 record. Miller’s contributions in all games have helped the Trojans to achieve these victories effortlessly.
