However, if the wind continues to that extent, it’ll be interesting to see how it affects Texas and Michigan’s passing games for quarterbacks Quinn Ewers and Davis Warren. This could hamper their gameplay. Well, even if it doesn’t rain, it will be interesting to see if Texas finds Michigan’s 60-degree weather cold, as they come from a very hot place. After a convincing 30-10 win over Fresno State, No. 10 Michigan is prepared to face Texas, who also had a dominant 52-0 victory over Colorado State in Week 1. Both teams go way back, as the Longhorns defeated the Wolverines 38-37 in a memorable 2005 Rose Bowl game. Let’s analyze the potential positions that may be up for grabs in the upcoming match.

What can we expect from the Michigan vs Texas match?

Both teams are loaded in terms of high-end players. However, they vary a lot in the team’s offense. The Texas Longhorns have a fresh recruit in the starting position, Quinn Ewers, who caught three passes and ran for 50 yards with two touchdowns. But Michigan’s quarterback competition during the preseason had a group of unassuming contenders who had notably less impressive qualifications. However, quarterback Davis Warren’s presence in the game did add value to the season opener against Fresno State. He passed 15 out of 25 times, which gave team an edge to race towards victory.

There are speculations made on Michigan’s running game. In the Michigan Wolverines’ season-opening victory against Fresno State, running backs Kalel Mullins and Donovan Edwards averaged 4.6 yards per carry. Which is very low. Also, eight of their 26 attempts went for just 2 yards. But the Texas Longhorns were excellent defensively against Colorado State. The concern is if they can execute well enough against Texas to maintain their drives. Well, both teams are standing still with a 1-1 winning record in their season-opener matches. Regardless of the weather, it will be exciting to witness their gameplay. Let’s see who emerges as the winner of the match. Which team are you supporting? Do let us know in the comments!
