2023 saw a historic game between Ohio State and Michigan Wolverines. Especially after Jim Harbaugh was banned from the big house; still, the guys wearing maize and blue scored a sparkling victory over Ryan Day’s boys. Remember Rod Moore’s interception with 25 seconds left in the game that sealed a 30-24 win for the Wolverines? It was their third-time winning streak against the Buckeyes. “We’re all disappointed.” These were Ryan Day’s words after losing to their biggest rivals. However, Ohio is a 4th-ranked team this year, whereas Michigan is ranked 24th.

Do you know Day has been planning some strategy not to let go of Michigan’s takeaway win for the fourth time? Let’s hear it from his boy, Quinshon Judkins. Ohio State’s running back Judkins went to the Rich Eisen Show on October 15th, where he talked with host Kirk Morrison about the Buckeyes’ heartbreaking Oregon loss and much more. When Morrison asked him to reveal his thoughts on the arch-rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan, the former Ole Miss running back said, “Yeah, like I said, man, everybody, and something that I think, Day has done a really good job as continuing to preach to the players on our team, is that we’re going to take this one step at a time.

He further noted, “Look at each game as that particular game, and look too far down the road and be where our feet are’, praising Ryan Day’s coaching abilities to ensure that elite players enroll with the Buckeyes. Moreover, Judkins highlighted they have been doing quite well this season. That’s the reason why as they reach the game against Michigan on November 30, they will already be prepared for it.

I think we’ve done such a great job in that, and just continue to try to push and prepare for the game that we cannot focus on anything down the road. So I think when that time comes, everyone will already have that feeling, and they know it’s leading up to that point,” Quinshon Judkins added, smartly handling that question. Neither did he deny taking down Michigan, nor did he show overconfidence – that’s the kind of learning Ryan Day gives to his boys. Moving forward, what went wrong for the Buckeyes in the game against Oregon?

Quinshon Judkins opens up on why Ohio State lost against Oregon

It came as a shocker when Ohio State lost 32-31 against Oregon. Ryan Day’s star boy, Quinshon Judkins, explained how his team got the pigskin back for one last drive right after he plated the previous possession. Will Howard led the offense down the field, but sadly, an offensive pass interference penalty disturbed their momentum. If that penalty hadn’t happened, they were likely to attempt a field goal, but it pushed them back, Judkins explained.

Moving forward, he said that Oregon’s defense had all the receivers covered; that’s why Will Howard ran up to the middle. However, he was early and there wasn’t enough time to call a timeout, which ultimately reached the ending time of the game. As a result, Oregon won the game, upsetting Howard, who kept thinking they could have pulled out a win.
