If we take a closer look at the Hurricanes’ performance so far, they have dominated all of their opponents and displayed impressive plays on both sides. This week, they did the same and dominated Florida State 36-14. Naturally, the program is attracting interest from potential recruits. Among them, one is planning to visit the campus this weekend.

As per Izubbe Charles,

“So honestly, you know Miami’s production on the field this year. He has a bye-week this week so he’s going to be making it down to Miami on Friday, leaving Sunday, so spending a few days down in South Florida. Miami is making a pretty good push for him early and they’re doing a great job of building that relationship. You know coach Mario Cristobal is involved. Coach Alex Mirabal, Miami’s offensive line coach, is also involved in that, and he really wants to check out Miami. You know, he’s never been down there before, and that hot start has definitely caught his attention, so he wants to get a firsthand look at Miami, and we’ll do so this weekend.”

Whatever may be Cantwell’s impression of the SEC teams, this weekend is Miami’s chance to showcase the strengths of the program. It helps that their performances have kept them among the top programs in the nation.

Why all this hype for Cantwell? Well, firstly, he is a five-star offensive tackle. The Nixa, Missouri native is 6 feet tall and 7.5 inches, ranked as the best overall prospect and the top offensive tackle in the country. He is a versatile athlete who is also an excellent shot put and discus thrower. Moving further, let’s hear HC Cristobal’s statement after their recent victory.

Mario Cristobal’s strong message to Florida

The Seminoles are struggling this season at 1-7. Did you expect them to win against the Miami Hurricanes? We know it is not that difficult to answer. Billy Napier has been facing significant backlash since the season started, and it is still continuing. Did you know Miami is 8-0 for the first time since 2017.

Tallahassee Democrat reported HC Cristobal’s statements after they won against Florida: “To go out there and beat this program and to be undefeated in the state of Florida, I think it sends a strong message.” Further, he took an indirect shot at the 4-3 Gators and added, “I think all recruits, in-state and out of state, can now clearly see the trajectory of this program versus the trajectory of the other programs.”

While they continue to excel, all the spotlights will be on Cantwell this week. However, the Hurricanes cannot take their coming games lightly, as we all know the landscape of CFB keeps changing. While they are preparing to play against Duke, you can watch our latest episode of Think Tank on Essentially Sports.
