Knowing the fact that the Miami Hurricanes masterfully flipped their rival commitments, it will be interesting to see what happens this time. Are the Miami Hurricanes the only Florida team worth watching this season with their undefeated streak?
Have an interesting take?
Well, you can’t blame the players. The Miami Hurricanes are the only team in Florida that is actually showcasing remarkable gameplay this season, unlike Florida State and the Florida Gators. The team has a 9-0 record since 2017, which is more than enough to understand why the team is attracting young talent this season. As insider Izubee Charles just broke the news about some big recruiting flips, we’ll have to wait and see what Coach Cristobal has planned for the Hurricanes’ recruiting game. He even talks about it himself!
Mario Cristobal on Miami Hurricanes recruiting approach
The Miami Hurricanes are not only doing wonders on the field with their undefeated status but are also not holding them back in terms of attracting fresh recruits for their program. Their performance speaks for them, and this is the mantra that the team holds when they look out for young players who can actually be a difference-maker in the program. Even Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal highlighted the same thing after their win against Florida State, saying, “I think all recruits in-state and out-of-state can now clearly see the trajectory of this program versus the trajectory of the other programs.” That’s a straight fact: Miami’s winning record this season has made them a team that every other program envy.
You can interpret Cristobal’s words as either a dig at the Seminoles or as a compliment for a well-played game. Regardless, the Miami Hurricanes performed exceptionally well. Not only are they ranked no. 5 in the US according to the LBM coaches poll, but they are also excelling in recruiting. It’s impressive to note that Miami has already secured 22 commits for the class of 2025, earning them a No. 10 ranking in the country for recruitment. Now that the team has their eyes on some specific players, let’s see if they can successfully flip their commitment or not.
