A lot is going on with the Huskers right now. After the 6-6 run, Matt Rhule needs some new blood on his team. If he wants his roster to have a shot at the natty and not just start falling off mid-season, then he needs to hit the transfer portal. Now see, at the center of it all is QB Dylan Raiola. While we still don’t know if Raiola is even going to stay with Matt Rhule and Co., the HC still has to attempt something, right? Why not start by building an offensive line around Dylan? Being a true freshman, Dylan had his struggles. He started the year off on an amazing note, but the same offensive strength quickly faded away.

Enter WR Nyziah Hunter. Back on X, HuskerAI shared, “2025 4 ⭐️ WR Nyziah Hunter (6-2, 192 lbs, NIL Value: N/A) out of Salinas, CA has scheduled a visit with the #Huskers on Friday.” Now, this is some really good news for Rhule’s WR depth. Coming out of Cal, Hunter had a year of ups and downs. While he did have a chance to play for the Bears, his stats were kind of low. Around 550+ guards with 40 receptions. He did manage to snag 5 touchdowns for California, but let’s be honest, fans wanted to see more of him.

Grabbing this guy into the roster will be an important move. Right now, Rhule has to fight off against the Kansas State Wildcats. As per the latest rankings, Hunter has a 47.1% chance of landing with the Huskers and a 41.3% chance of landing with the Wildcats.

Although Rhule is in the lead, you can never truly predict when a player will flip. Now, there is a twist in this story as well. See, Hunter has planned 3 total visits. One is for the Huskers, and the other 2 are for the Sooners and Red Raiders.

With Oklahoma and Texas Tech added to the list, it could make things hard for Rhule, but he cannot stop trying. We saw the entire team sink and swim around Raiola; they cannot afford the same in the next season. We will have to wait and watch how things go down in Lincoln. However, at the same time, Rhule isn’t betting everything on Hunter. He has another guy up on his crosshairs for the WR position.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Matt Rhule's Huskers finally break through with Dylan Raiola and new WR recruits in the mix?

Have an interesting take?

Coming straight from the Florida Panthers

While he may be a junior, don’t let that fool you from the fact that he can single-handedly switch the game for the Huskers’ offense. Grabbing WR Eric Rivers from the portal would be very important for Matt Rhule. For the Panthers, Eric ended the season with over 1000 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 62 receptions.

These stats coming from a junior are massive. “Knows how to get open, good hands, good speed, good run-after-catch ability. He has some physicality to him,” Wilson Dittman Sports pointed out while talking about Eric.

See, Rhule has already switched up his OC game by bringing in Dana Holgerson. This is one step in the right direction. Now, if Rhule manages to bring both Rivers and Hunter to the team, then the Huskers’ offensive game should be at a top level for the next season.
