Well, Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines had the biggest flex in 2024. That’s because they successfully flipped the No.1 quarterback recruit from Brian Kelly’s LSU. However, Moore is not ready to hit the settle button yet. This time, he wants to add someone who is a pro in recruiting. That is why Moore and Co. have their eyes on a top NIL agent. Turns out that the notable person already got wooed by the Wolverines’ hospitality and culture. Now, this surely hints at a big thing for Moore’s program. After all, this opens Michigan’s door to top recruits.
Sadly, hunting down Underwood did not do any good to Moore’s squad except making the contenders jealous. Going by the latest On3 recruiting class rankings, Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs lead the list with 28 players, four 5-stars, nineteen 4-stars, and five 3-stars. They have an estimated average NIL value of $156K. Cut to Moore’s squad in the 2025 recruiting class, the Wolverines have two 5-stars, fourteen 4-stars, and eight 3-stars. Their estimated NIL value is $235k. So, they now must be looking for an X-factor. In this case, Cliff Hill of ProspeX can be their messiah. And here comes the good news.
“It went really well. The staff is great. They are one of the best in college football.”

Michigan insider EJ Holland tweeted on March 26, “Michigan hosted top NIL agent/recruiting coach @Coachcliff904 and his talented group of prospects over the weekend.” And no wonder, Hill had a great time in Ann Arbor. After all, it is the home for coaches like Moore, an offensive coordinator like Chip Lindsey who carries 27 years of experience, Lou Esposito, and so on. “It went really well. The staff is great. They are one of the best in college football. I don’t have to worry.” Now, satisfying Hill comes with a bonus.
The NIL agent brought with him top recruits to Moore’s squad. That includes Top 100 EDGE Jake Kreul, top defensive line target Brian Harris, 4-star offensive linemen Breck Kolojay and G’Nivre Carr. Along with them came top linebacker target Duyon “DQ” Forkpa. Now, how did they like their trip to Ann Arbor? Hill had been in constant touch with the Director of Recruiting, Sam Popper, and has been truly impressed with how he took care of each one of them. After all, handling a big group is no cakewalk.
Hill further confirmed, “Everyone loved the visit. They loved the culture up there and the coaching staff. I think they were surprised at how well everyone got along, how organized everyone was, and how inviting the staff was. They made a good impression on all of them.” Besides the ‘make them feel at home’ factor, another big factor impressed Hill and the top recruits who accompanied him.

The HC factor. Yes, while Moore goes looking for an X-factor to gain the upper hand in the recruiting race, he is the one who is enough to draw recruits. After all, even before taking up the HC throne in Ann Arbor, Moore led the Wolverines to back-to-back Joe Moore Awards as the offensive lines coach. Now, the Michigan HC has tapped into the redemption mode. After all, in the 2024 season, he has seen enough.

Players refused to trust him and felt like dominoes when Jim Harbaugh hit the exit door. In that way, he had to clean up the mess. And how could we forget the heartbreaking rankings? 129th (out of 133) total offense and 130th passing offense. That’s when he took the bold move of firing Kirk Campbell and bringing Lindsey in.

The biggest reason behind Sherone Moore choosing him is his yet balanced offenses, particularly the one he led at North Carolina the last couple seasons. Under his scheme, QB Drake Maye went as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The running game, too, reaped the sweet fruits of Chip Lindsey’s efforts. Running back Omarion Hampton is projected to be a first or second-round draft pick this spring. That’s how Sherrone Moore plans on presenting a power-packed offense to his fans this season.
