Did Malachi Moore's actions disrespect Alabama's legacy, or was it just a moment of frustration?

 

Saturday was the day for Vanderbilt. After a surprising win over the nation’s No. 1 ranked team, Alabama Crimson Tide, Vanderbilt fans were dancing, singing, and jumping on the field as they lived what every college football team dreamed about. “This is the dream, right now,” head coach Clark Lea said after they won. But every Alabama fan cried their heart out of shock. But what about their leader, Malachi Moore? Did he just resemble what Sanders did after they lost a game this season? Don’t you think?

No matter whether the Alabama Crimson Tide lost to Vanderbilt last weekend, never in our wildest dreams would anyone have thought that would happen. But to act like this when you are leading your team? Malachi Moore caught a lot of negative attention from all over the place. ” I just want to apologize again to my family and teammates. I take full accountability for that, letting my actions get the best of me, and it won’t happen again,” Moore said after realizing his mistake.

That too on live TV! He also lost his calm, threw the pigskin, and earned a penalty. That is not the way to vent out the frustration. After which he realized his mistake and apologized, saying, “I’ve definitely been apologizing to them and did the consequences that they’ve given me,’ said Malachi, showing gratitude towards head coach DeBoer and Kane Wommack because they didn’t take any strict majors against him.

That’s not the only time he took responsibility for his actions. On Monday, he did the same through his Instagram page as well. He called out his behavior as irresponsible. He is a fifth-year player and a two-time captain. Moore also talked about maintaining certain standards when you’re an Alabam player. Besides that, let’s look at the actual game between Vanderbilt and Alabama.

Alabama vs. Vanderbilt game highlights

A player who shined out bright after that game is Vandy’s quarterback, Diego Pavia, who threw for 252 yards, scored two touchdowns and rushed for 57 yards. He outperformed Heisman Trophy candidate Jalen Milroe in his team’s 40-35 victory.

The Dores took charge of the game since they started scoring 13 points. Alexander opened the game with a 7-yard touchdown to put his team ahead. Alabama’s sloppy play allowed Vandy to take away the lead. However, Alabama found the foot with Milroe’s 58-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Williams.

Soon after, the Commodores responded with 10 points. Pavia, being the star of the game, capped the drive with a 6-yard pass to Kamren Johnson. with 5:07 left in the game. with 2:46 left, Milroe and Williams connected again for a fourth-and-1 from yards. After Vandy won this game, Pavia was on cloud nine, saying, “Games like this change your life.” A win that no one ever imagined or predicted. But as they say, football is an unpredictable game. Anything can happen!
