Remember when Alabama Crimson Tide’s signal caller Jalen Milroe ran over the LSU Tigers last season in Bama’s 42-28 win in Tuscaloosa? Well, looks like LSU HC Brian Kelly is not only interested in winning against Kalen DeBoer’s boys this season. Other than crushing Crimson Tide, who are already in a sticky spot, Kelly wants to give them a lesson in another big way. That’s by trying to reel in fresh blood, the recruits. As the number of recruiting visits is pretty high on Saturday, November 9, the Tigers HC has already pounced to action by dropping random teases. Meanwhile, DeBoer too dished out a bold claim. Well, not about the recruits but about the game.

The Crimson Tide literally crushed the Tigers to mere specks of dust 42-28 last season. Not just that, but their last five matchups against Alabama did not leave a pleasant feeling with the LSU fans as the Tigers went 1-4 in Death Valley. But HC Kelly is not someone who broods over the past. Even though he is not sure how powerful DeBoer and his squad are going to be coming off a bye week, he is excited to host the recruits. He got so invested that even on the Pat McAfee Show, as seen on the ESPN College Football podcast, Kelly could not stop himself from talking about it. After all, it’s the good ol’ LSU vs Alabama. “We’ll have upwards of 300 recruits and families here. We’ve got a couple of official visits that will happen which will be the targeted ones but um, you know obviously these are huge, right?” stated Kelly.

The HC then got distracted midway by a person who was painting the field and went all enthusiastic while saying, “Let’s get the paint down there..it got to look good.” After all, painting the field seems to have an important role to play in what Kelly is excited about, as McAfee rightly pointed out, “No field, no game, no game, no recruiting.”  But what’s so special about recruiting this time? Well, the Tigers will be hosting prime NINE recruits. And who are they?

The star-studded lineup in Brian Kelly’s Death Valley

While we are yet to be sure whether we can call Saturday’s face-off a “Game of the century” or not, what we know is that November 9 is going to be a big weekend for the recruits. And analyst Sam Spiegelman has already added to the hype, as on November 6, he posted, “Death Valley will be rocking on Saturday night as rivals LSU and Alabama square off in Tiger Stadium in front of several of the nation’s best recruits in the country 🐯.” Now time to get a look at the names.

The one who is talked about a lot these days, 5-star QB Bryce Underwood, will be there along with 5-star defensive end Jahkeem Stewart. There will be 5-star cornerback Na’eem Offord and 4-star defensive tackle Kevin Oatis that Kelly and his boys have got to impress. Well, given the current situation, DeBoer’s Alabama has taken a back seat after their back-to-back substandard feats against Vanderbilt Commodores and Tennessee Volunteers. However, the Crimson Tide HC had raised a warning for Kelly and Co. that it’s not yet over for Bama.

No matter how brutal words fans and analysts use for them, HC Kalen DeBoer stands there like a rock. Coming out of the bye week, on the Hey Coach radio program, he stated with full confidence, “I expect us to be well prepared and ready to go on Saturday. From everything I’ve seen, I like where we’re at and we’re not done yet.” But poor DeBoer! His sweet words can no longer mold the recruits. Time for Brian Kelly and the boys to give their best shot!
