USC Trojans have made sure they look aggressive and follow the pattern of winning. USC fans are eagerly waiting for the clash between Lincoln Riley’s Trojans and new head Sherrone Moore’s Michigan Wolverines.

As both teams prepare for the 22nd of September’s pivotal matchup and college football is entering its third week, Lincoln Riley, whose team has impressed everyone, feels their upcoming game against Michigan will be a “super challenge”. This high-stakes matchup will be a very important game for both teams. Although Riley is a bit nervous to face Michigan and looks at their upcoming game as a challenge. The Michigan Wolverines, who won their season opener but lost their second game against the Texas Longhorns by 19 points, need to buckle up and start winning games as all the football programs are putting their best foot forward.

Luca Evans, who covers USC sports for Orange Country Register, tweeted Riley’s comment on the Michigan and Texas game last weekend: “The Texas game, in my opinion, watching it, was probably quite a bit closer than maybe what the scoreboard indicated.” The head coach’s perspective reflects that the game was competitive and it was a close contest compared to the final score. He believes that although the scoreboard is showing a certain result, Michigan was also looking balanced.

His statement also reflects that he is acknowledging the future challenges the Trojans will face against Michigan. He is making note of the area Michigan is good at as a unit, and the Trojans have to improve. USC’s starting quarterback, Miller Moss, has displayed impressive performances so far and needs to carry forward his form. Being a key player, his contribution will be very crucial over Michigan from the team’s point of view.

While doing so, the head coach has highlighted some similarities between the two historic football programs. He reflects on the legacy of USC and Michigan and calls both “blue blood, iconic programs.” With his comment, he admires Michigan’s remarkable turnaround as a team under their former coach Jim Harbaugh, who helped them to win the national championship after challenging days.

Since Riley has joined USC, the Trojans have also shown notable progress. Once they were struggling with a 4-8 season to a strong 2-0 start in the 2204 season. Riley is definitely leading the Trojans in the right direction. Athlon Sports reported Riley’s statement on his likeability in Michigan: “The thing I respect the most about them is that they stayed very true to their process and ignored everybody on the outside.” Riley compliments the team, their strong dedication to bouncing back stronger, and their never-ending drive to win games.
