Is Lee Corso's headgear pick a curse for Ohio State's undefeated streak?

You may love or hate Lee Corso. But let’s just admit, you can never ignore his on-point intuition driven by innate fans’ fervor and a veteran’s experience. Even if you still choose to ignore it, Penn State fans, by any means, won’t. The former Indiana coach and the current ESPN College GameDay analyst is on the front fore of an important week 10 peak. After a lot of buzz swirling over, the Beaver Stadium just witnessed the legendary Lee Corso 421st headgear choice between the undefeated Nittany Lions and the Buckeyes. And guess what, the helmet professes a threat against Ryan Day and co, leaving Penn State guys chilled.

Corso, 89, has been widely adored for his iconic headgear pick where a drop denotes a defeat and a lift talks about a victory. The analyst turns the mascot faces dilemma tonight before pulling off the iconic trend as he was standing beside a proud Ohio State alumna, Kirk Herbstreit, and entertaining a psyched-up Penn State crowd all around. However, after a bit of silent juggling, he chose to drop it against Ohio State, with the fans bursting with a loud pop.

An interesting anecdote is one of the must-watch week 10 match-ups. Can Ohio State live through it? A question we will get to know in a bit.

Ohio State has no choice but to win this game if they want to keep their thin play hope alive. The recent projection says Penn State will have an edge over the Buckeyes but the history depicted otherwise. Ohio State has dominated during James Franklin’s Penn State tenure and didn’t let the Nittany Lions pick up a single win.

Franklin has a golden chance to overcome the humiliating record this time with a star-studded roster. Also, a win would all but seal a spot in both the Big Ten title game and College Football Playoff for Penn State. However, the urgency to win is higher for Day for their obvious cornered position in the title picture.

Having Lee Corso as the celebrity announcer, at least, put some magic onto the heaviness surrounding the match, no matter what his headgear says. The veteran announcer had the epic power to turn everything into a cinematic epiphany whenever and wherever he stepped in.

Lee Corso had an emotional comeback to Indiana a week back

Just a few weeks back, College GameDay travelled to the Indiana Hoosiers’ homeland for the first time in program history. How couldn’t we expect to live an epic Lee Corso homecoming edition? Well, even if it wasn’t a complete surprise, the way it unfolded was a pure fairytale. Corso, the legendary Indiana guy from 1973-82, stunned the crowd when he reached Bloomington, coming out straight from a fascinating double-decker bus donning his iconic Indiana pullover sweatshirt.

The emotion runs high throughout the episode as two generations of coaches (Lee Corso and Curt Kignett) have a heart-melting exchange that goes beyond professionals. An emotional Kignetti shared how Corso has not only been the guy who shaped Indiana football but also a guardian angel who helped him throughout a personal crisis of his life.

Corso might not be remembered by the most successful coaches in Indiana history or the most insightful ESPN analyst, but his quirks, his off-the-board habits and his generosity toward the sports and the people associated with them make him one of a kind that he’s.

We will watch out for more in the ongoing Penn-Stae vs Ohio State game with the legendary coach/analyst on the watch.
