Woah! Now that’s the power of college football. Even legends from other sports have their eyes on the CFB National Championship Game. Yes, times are tough for Ryan Day’s Ohio State and Marcus Freeman’s Notre Dame. After all, the SEC officiating crew is in charge of the game. But things are slightly better for the Buckeyes. After all, they now have LeBron James rooting for them, THE LEBRON “KING” JAMES.

Before the big face-off, the NBA legend came up with the much-needed boost for Will Howard and co. Already, the Buckeyes were being hyped up for a blowout win, and now James’ kind words are just icing on the cake.

Well, we know how Day’s boys have been unlucky when it came to penalties. As per the reports, there has not been a single holding penalty called on an Ohio State opponent this year. Plus, there are 134 teams in FBS, and Ohio State is 134th in opponent penalization. However, there is some good news for the Buckeyes fam. As they head for the grand finale, the Big Ten juggernaut is listed as an 8.5-point favorite. Sounds interesting, right?

Yes, we know how the Fighting Irish are entering the game on a 13-game win streak. However, to the winningest head coach in both Florida and South Carolina history, Steve Spurrier, Ohio State will win big. The former HC even predicted that the Buckeyes hold a clear advantage and can win by as much as three touchdowns. Now if you still are in a dilemma, here enters James.

Well, we know how protective the NBA legend is about Day’s squad. Even though James did not go to OSU, he is famously an Ohio native. Back when he stepped into sports, players were allowed to head straight into the NBA draft from high school. So, James did not go to college. But he is from Akron and began his NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Having so much love for the program, he thought of dropping a trailer.

In the video, James said, “You know who I’m rooting for, you know who I’m here for. Their first time in National Championship game in 10 years, we here, we ready…we here baby, we rock it.”

You could sense the immense sense of pride in his voice for Howard and his mates. He donned an Ohio State cap and sounded an alarm for Freeman’s boys. “Today’s there is going to be no mistake, gotta win on all three sides of the b- – l,” stated the Lakers star. Not just this. James ended the video with a bold prediction: “Honest score to the game, I got Ohio State 38, Notre Dame 17. Let’s go.” Now you won’t be surprised if James traveled across the country for his love.

LeBron James’ mission to support the Buckeyes

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is hosting the thrilling matchup. So, it did not stop James from taking a detour to Atlanta to root for the Buckeyes on January 20, Monday night. He had to be in attendance to find out whether his prophecy for Ohio State had been true or not. For that, the legend had to break away from the Lakers to make a quick pit stop for the game.
