Deion Sanders has always idolized loyalty over anything else. Even his son, Shedeur Sanders, follows in his footsteps. Instead of going with the Mannings or the Williams sisters, he picked LeBron and Bronny James. But from where all this comparison came from? 

Today on the “2Legendary” podcast, Shedeur Sanders and his co-host Darius were chatting about football and having some fun with a quick game. Darius kicked things off by saying, “I’ll give you two sports families, and you’ve got to tell me which family you taking over the other….Ready?” 

The first round was the Watts (JJ and TJ) vs. Serena and Venus Williams. Shedeur hesitated a bit and then laughed, saying, “TJ, don’t get mad, bro. I’ve gotta play you soon, but Serena Williams.” Next up, Darius asked, “Serena and Venus Williams or Jim and John Harbaugh?” Shedeur quickly replied, “Like, it’s not personal. The Williams, though.”

Sure, Shedeur is a big fan of the Williams sisters, but not as much as the LeBron-Bronny duo. He even picked the basketball father-son pair over the Williams sisters and the Curry brothers! He simply said they were “legendary in what they doing.”

Then came the big one: LeBron and Bronny or the Mannings? Shedeur cracked everyone up with, “LeBron and Bronny—I’m just basing it on my logic. I was gonna say family, but everybody’s family.” Clearly, Shedeur takes loyalty seriously. What makes Shedeur Sanders so loyal to LeBron and Bronny?

Shedeur Sanders’ close ties to LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers star power forward LeBron James shares a close relationship with the Buffs head coach Deion Sanders. LeBron has also met Shedeur Sanders before while he was playing in Denver against the Nuggets. So it is quite obvious for Shedeur to choose LeBron and Bonny over the Williams sisters and the Manning Dynasty.

Lebron James also appreciated Shedeur Sanders’ season opener performance against North Dakota. He took “X” to acknowledge Shedeur and Travis’ gameplay, saying “Shedeur to Hunter for 6! Going to be seeing and hearing that a lot this season, I bet!” As Shedeur said, James’ is family, and they have time and again stepped up for each other.

LeBron also discussed the connection he feels with Deion and Shedeur Sanders, as he is now part of the same NBA team as his son, Bronny. Because of constant criticism, both LeBron and Deion have faced scrutiny for their parenting. However, they have always supported each other. Moreover, the Buffs are playing the Rams on Saturday. Let’s see if LeBron shows up online to support Sanders again!
