The Ole Miss Rebels are one of the unbeatable teams in the ongoing SEC tournament with 3 wins. But it looks like even after head coach Lane Kiffin’s game dominance, the “slots” are not in their favor for their upcoming matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats. The “terrible” TV slots offered to Ole Miss might make them rebel! But what time is their game coming up on television? Why is it considered an awful time? Let’s get into it.
On September 16, the Southeastern Conference took to X to announce the start times and networks airing its football games on September 28. But Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss gets the oddest time for their showdown against the Wildcats. Their match-up is scheduled to air at 11 a.m. CT on September 28th, which on a Saturday morning is a terrible time, no-brainer! Also, considering the Rebels’ dominant game of 6-40 against the Wake Forest Demons last week, this time doesn’t do justice to their dominance in the conference.

Also, every Monday when SEC game times are announced, fans across the country expect to see their favorite teams listed next to an evening time slot. However, looking at the number of weekly matchups, sometimes it’s hard to give every team a “PM” slot. But, keeping in mind Ole Miss’s team stats, morning start times might signify that the team is less worthy of the bigger TV audience! Moreover, Ole Miss Rebel’s game dominance has been quite visible since the start of the tournament. And this slot is not doing justice to their gameplay. Following this, teams Arkansas and Texas A&M are allotted the slot post 2.30 pm CT. Surely, Kiffin’s boys wouldn’t have minded that 2.30 slot. However, not much they can do now! Let’s see, even after unfavorable time slots, can the Lane Kiffin Rebels show some prowess and garner eyeballs against the Wildcats?
Lane Kiffin’s Ole Rebels vs Kentucky Wildcats, stats so far
Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels have kept his rebel mode on since the start of the tournament. Last week their exceptional performance resulted in a high-margin win of 6-40 against Wake Forest. Jane Kiffin’s coaching styles and team alignment did wonders for the team. Freshman quarterback Jaxson Dart ran for 377 yards for two touchdowns. With running back Henry Parrish Jr. backing Jaxson rushing for 148 yards for two touchdowns. The Ole Miss offense was vigorous throughout the game, which might be a concern for the Wildcats.

Have an interesting take?
Despite their loss to the Georgia Bulldogs last week, the Wildcats put up a strong fight against them. Making it a final game score of 12-13. Which also made the Kirby Smart Bulldogs lose their No. 1 AP poll ranking. Kentucky displayed remarkable gameplay by making a 55-yard field goal for a touchdown in the first half. However, the game changed in the last moment when the Bulldogs made a 41-yard field goal. Well, even if they could not win the match, their performance didn’t go unnoticed. Let’s see if Kentucky will repeat the same with the Ole Rebels or if they actually win it this time. Has the time slot affected your schedule to tune in for the game?
