Have you ever thought about how stressful being a college football coach must be? Imagine being held accountable for going to your fav artists’ concert! It’s like, who cares, right? Coaches wish they could be that carefree about their lives. Right now it’s Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin who found himself in the hot seat for grabbing a seat in Bad Blood star Taylor Swift’s concert. The fans seemed to be armed up in bringing Kiffin down for spending some time by himself for once. But why so? Well, only five days are left for Ole Miss to face off against Oklahoma Sooners, and to them, HC Kiffin has better things to do than grooving to Swift’s numbers. 

The wait has been pretty long for Swiftie fans to see their favorite star on stage. The last North American ‘Eras Tour’ concert was in August 2023. 14 months later, Swift is finally back on fire. Between October 18-20, the Blank Space star began the final leg of her sprawling international trek. And guess who got lucky? The Miami fans as she hosted a concert in Miami.

On October 20,  the Time Magazine 2023 Person of the Year graced the Hard Rock Stadium with her presence. Too irresistible right? Maybe, Kiffin too had FOMO and landed his hands on a ticket that went as high as $1,367. And what’s the point of attending a concert if you don’t let your social media fam know? On Sunday evening, the Ole Miss HC shared a short clip with only “💯” in the caption. 

Looking stunning in a wine-red sequinned dress, in Kiffin’s clip, Swift was spotted setting the stage on fire with her popular number, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. How wild it is for Kiffin to be such a chillaxed person! On the other hand, the Rebels’ fans are already on their toes. The Sooners are already making major staff changes as they fired OC Seth Littrell and co-offensive coordinator Joe Jon Finley will take over interim playcalling duties. And here is Kiffin having his best time abandoning Ole Miss to their own fate. Well, doing that the Rebels HC fell prey to fan rage.      

Fan frustrations boil over as Lane Kiffin grooved to Taylor Swift’s concert

Already in a tough spot, struggling to run the ball in SEC play and currently coming off 5-2 and 1-2 in SEC play, fans had been expecting some revamp in their gameplay. When they saw Kiffin come off as uninterested in his job, one of them commented, “Man, you just get worse and worse.” Now that penalties have become a common Ole Miss problem, a fan kind of threatened the Ole Miss HC to work up some good plans, “Nope.  Better start thinking about things that matter……”

A fan had no apparent idea what the Ole Miss was up to at the Hard Rock Stadium when he was supposed to be discussing gameplans with his roster, “LANE WHAT THE FU-K ARE YOU DOING.” An exasperated fan just got a confirmation that in case he bets, Oklahoma would be the right option since Kiffin is in no way interested in making Ole Miss win, “Oh so put money on Oklahoma..got it!”

Well, not every reaction was serious. One was funny too as a fan came up with his own version going by Swift’s lyrics and tallying with the Florida Gators snubbing Kiffin from the candidate list, “Lane to Gator fans after moving him down their hire list 🤣.” Here’s hoping Lane Kiffin left the concert with a game plan and not just Blank Space!
