Can Ole Miss maintain their momentum against LSU, or will the Tigers roar back with vengeance?

Ole Miss was rocking the college football season unbeatable after a four-game winning streak in the 2024 season. But they slowed down a bit after facing a 17-20 loss to Kentucky on September 28th. But what’s the good news is they bounced back with a thrilling 27-3 victory over South Carolina. This game won the hearts of Ole Miss fans, and head coach Lane Kiffin is even getting proposals from pretty girls following this victory. What’s the whole matter?

So the college football’s biggest analyst, Paul Finebaum, was seen candidly chatting with comedian Heather McMahan for a podcast. Finebaum shared parts of his conversation with Heather on his Instagram. The video is going viral for all the hilarious reasons. Paul, being Paul, didn’t miss a chance to pull the leg of his friend Kiffin.

He went on and built some background before saying the actual words to McMahan. “A standing friendly feud with Lane Kiffin. We are friends, but he acts like, you know, he hates me because he claims I got him fired, which I did, but that’s beside the point. But what I mean is he’s your coach. I go easy on him.” Finebaum asked McMahan.

To that, Heather answered, saying, “Okay. I feel like Ole Miss. We are always kind of fighting, you know, for our position so. And also, he’s adorable. I mean, listen, my husband’s a Penn State fan, and some days he drives me nuts. So if Lane’s ever single, if this doesn’t work out with him, I’ll be ready in the wings, waiting. But I love Lane. I own this. I would just play the show in Oxford. And it feels so good to be back. The energy in Oxford, it’s palpable. You can feel it. Everybody’s just so pumped that he’s there. So I love the guy,” Heather replied, showing admiration for Kiffin.

Then Finebaum went a step ahead and made her laugh out loud with his direct question about dating Kiffin. “Married and all that, the things that come with their kids and all that. But seriously, Lane Kiffin is single. He’s dating, but that’s no big deal. He’s been dating. Would you be interested? I mean, are you? Would you just tell your husband, forget it.” He joked with Heather, who is already married.

Have an interesting take?

But man! You’re talking with a comedian. What kind of answer would you get from her? She gave a hilarious response to Paul’s question and he could not stop laughing. “ I love my husband, but I’ll tell you what, when we beat Penn, my husband was the most diehard Penn State fan in the world, and there was no better joy in my life than when Ole Miss beat Penn State around the years this past year, that was the greatest moment in my life. I don’t want to throw my husband, Jeff, under the bus, but if he did get hit by a bus tomorrow, I’m absolutely showing up to the Ole Miss athletic department and letting Lane know I’m available.”

Haha! She finished with a wink, which made Finebaum laugh out loud. Well, jokes apart, but what is the head coach doing before a crucial game against LSU?

LSU football is in a mood to take revenge on the last time they faced Ole Miss in Oxford. Last season, Ole Miss rolled out the Tigers in a 55-49 victory. With that, it’s not wrong to say both of these are quite familiar with each other and know the kind of pros and cons they have. Besides that, the Baton Rouge stadium is all set to host No. 9 Ole Miss and No. 13 LSU for their upcoming battle.

With that, this game marks college football’s only two coaches, Brian Kelly and Lane Kiffin, with 100 career and FBS victories, which adds another layer of intrigue to their game. To win the SEC rat race, Lane Kiffin needs to face visits from Oklahoma and Georgia next month after playing against LSU.
