Is LaJohntay Wester the next big thing in college football after that game-winning interception?

If you had one shot, to seize everything, would you capture it or just let it slip? No, we ain’t talking about Eminem here, folks. With 2 seconds left on the clock, Shedeur Sanders had to think fast. 31-24 on the scoreboard and the Buffs could lose it all against the Baylor Bears, so what does Shedeur Sanders do? He gets out of the pocket to escape a hungry D-line, runs towards his left, places all his faith and trust in one single 43-yard throw, and lets it fly. The result? It’s a touchdown. However, it ain’t only Shedeur who made this possible.

Reach The People Media brings us another solid episode with Colorado Buffs WR LaJohntay Wester talking all about Shedeur’s Hail Mary and the dreams it ignited. “I at least want to win a b— game, like, that’s, that’s the least, but the, the major goal is when the natty (national championship). I feel like we really have a shot at winning the natty,” Wester mentioned while talking about what he thinks the Buffs and him could achieve this year.

Now see, we don’t wanna be the crusher of dreams, but a national championship win for the Buffs is like having a Star Wars universe with an Anakin who didn’t turn to the dark side. It ain’t happening anytime soon. The main concern that remains is that the Buffs need a heck lot of work on their offensive line. While Wester, Travis Hunter, and even Shedeur are all set. The rest of the boys aren’t.

However, it is still a fact that the Buffs and Deion Sanders have probably given us the most entertaining games this year. Back against the Rams, Hunter managed to break a 26-year-old record. With 2 touchdowns and 100 yards under his belt, Hunter managed to grab 13 catches and 1 defensive interception as well. The highlight of the game was his interception of the throw by the Rams QB and then returning the same b— up by 38 yards.

Still, one thing you gotta admit. If it wasn’t for Wester, the game against Baylor was done for. This dude followed the beat right on cue and perfectly tracked and dived for the catch. Taking the score to 31-31, the game went into overtime and the rest is history. However, do you know that Shedeur Sanders not only played a major role in the Hail Mary throw, but also in recruiting Wester?

It was Shedeur Sanders all along

Talk about hitting 2 birds with one stone. On the same episode of the show, Wester also revealed how he joined and got into the Buffs roster. See, here’s the thing. When we talk about Buffs’ recruitment, it’s always Deion Sanders and “Prime Time”. Coach Prime has been the face of the camp’s recruitment and roster-building and there is no denying that he has managed to grab some solid players.

What’s your perspective on:

Is LaJohntay Wester the next big thing in college football after that game-winning interception?

Have an interesting take?

Heck, Travis Hunter joined the club because of Deion Sanders. However, the catch against Baylor would not have been possible without Wester and Deion Sanders wasn’t the one who played a major role in bringing this WR onto the team. “Um, Shedeur man. He played a big role in it, like me coming here,” Wester mentioned. Shedeur and Wester connected over Instagram after Wester got to know that Deion was the new HC for the Buffs.

And after that, the rest is history. Wester is already pulling massive plays for the Buffs. Even against the Rams, this guy managed to grab 2 passes from Shedeur and convert them into touchdowns. While we do applaud him for dreaming of a national championship win, the reality is that the Buffs still have a long way to go.
