As the 2024 season kick-off rolls, the excitement’s cranking up to eleven. The game on September 1 has been no different! And guess who stole the show? It was none other than the USC Trojans wideout Kyron Hudson who had left LSU Tigers scratching their head in disbelief.

One catch was enough for him to keep people talking and that too was lauded as one of the best catches for the 2024 season, even though it has just started. And the ridiculous grab by an early candidate left fans showering Hudson, who is a redshirt junior in 2024 with praise. 

Kyron Hudson’s high-flying snag 

For the September 1 face-off, good times seemed to roll early for Lincoln Riley’s tribe. What’s interesting was the fact that this time the Trojans’ rage was not only about their star QB Miller Moss. Instead, it was the candidate who had been just one week into the 2024 CFB season, Hudson. As QB Moss had a tough time in the second quarter where he got into pressure that propelled him to launch a prayer downfield, Hudson came to his rescue. 

As seen in the video, the wideout had been mobbed by two LSU defenders. However, Hudson ensured to keep the football out of their reach as he then leaped into the air and snagged the pigskin with one hand. Even after getting hold of it, he maintained his balance and brilliantly tucked it into his body. It seemed like Hudson might have bobbled the pigskin as he hit the ground. But as it was replayed, the 24-yard catch, the confusions were dismissed. And hereby it had been a cool catch that the fans are going gaga over.     

Kyron Hudson’s magic that left fans in awe 

The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas had witnessed one of the best catches for the 2024 season. And for the people who missed out on the live-action, they have got the videos circulating all over social media. What stands out the most in the case of Hudson’s spectacular catch is the fact that he is new to the college football system as a fan commented, “Kyron Hudson with early candidate for Catch of the Year #USCvsLSU #usc #cfb.” 

The KSLSports contributor Tyler Harden too doused him with flattery, “What a catch by Kyron Hudson. #LSU #USC.” Another sports anchor, Darren M. Haynes too, had been caught up in a state of disbelief at Hudson’s antics on September 1, “Kyron Hudson!!!! OMG!!!!!!! #USC #LSU.” The impressive act made NFL analyst Dov Kleiman comment, “Absolutely insane. Kyron Hudson.”
