The Bulldogs wrapped up their highly anticipated ‘G-Day’ spring scrimmage this past weekend, giving fans an early glimpse of the 2025 season. This year’s format shifted, with only those in attendance allowed to witness the action. The energy from the live crowd gave the team a boost as they look ahead to the regular season. With months still remaining before the season opener, Kirby Smart’s 20-year-old recruit stressed the importance of keeping up the intensity. “We have to realize that it’s not over,” he said. Adding, “We can’t relax. This is the time to ramp it up and focus on getting better.” The Bulldogs are now focused on carrying this momentum into fall camp.

Although Kirby Smart’s linebacker, CJ Allen, has stepped into a leadership role on the field, but off the field, he’s honoring a special person in his life—his late grandmother. In a heartfelt Instagram post on April 21st, Allen showed his love and honor for his late grandmother. Well, his grandmother, Nellie P. Miller, born on April 3, 1942, left this world on December 9, 2024. Known as a beloved wife and mother, she held a deep place in Allen’s heart. To honor her memory, he adorned her resting place with a vibrant bouquet of colorful and white flowers. Alongside it, a card read, “God has you in his arms and I carry you in my HEART.” However, the tribute was completed with a statue symbolizing her spirit, adorned with a butterfly—a poignant reflection of her enduring influence.

Not only did Allen honor his grandmother with a touching post, but he also shared a glimpse into his roots with a picture showcasing his blue attire and matching blue car. Hailing from Barnesville, Georgia, a town rich in blue-collar tradition, Allen’s upbringing shaped his relentless work ethic and strong community pride. His journey from a small-town athlete to a star at Georgia speaks volumes about the determination ingrained in him. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, but Allen’s caption tells a different story—one of pride, struggle, and a deep connection to the blue-collar values that have defined his path.
