After a long offseason, finally, the college football season is officially back, and this Saturday was its Week 0. That is why, on Saturday morning, from Ireland, Nick Saban made his College GameDay debut as an ESPN analyst. There, he joined other panelists such as Desmond Howard, Rece Davis, Pat McAfee, and Kirk Herbstreit.
During the inaugural episode of College GameDay, Saban’s co-panelists were requested to make their predictions for the champions of each Power Five conference as well as the national champion. Saban made a hilarious prediction which left fans speechless. The most intriguing fact is that he gave enough logic behind his pick.

On August 24, 2024, ‘ESPN College Football‘ shared a video of the College GameDay on the YouTube Platform. There, Saban’s prediction regarding Georgia issued a challenge to the rest of the SEC as he said, “I see six or seven teams that have a chance to win this. But somebody has to prove they can beat Georgia“. Additionally, he mentioned, “The only people that have beaten Georgia in the last two or three years is Alabama. So somebody has to prove that they can do it.” So, it is pretty clear that Saban is impressed by the preparation of Kirby Smart, Georgia HC, over Kalen DeBoer.

Most importantly, he added that beating the Bulldogs would not be easy this year as they opened the season with the No. 1 ranked team in both the AP and Coaches Polls. Furthermore, it’s worth mentioning that Saban’s most recent win against Georgia took place in last year’s SEC championship game with a 27-24 record. Therefore, it reflects that except Alabama there are few or even no one who can beat Bulldogs in the 2024 SEC game. Besides this, Saban announced a prediction regarding Missouri.

According to Nick, Georgia has to face Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss, who are respectively ranked No. 4, 5, and 6 in the preseason AP Poll, in order to secure the title of SEC. It seems like the roadmap of Georgia might be the hardest.
Whereas, for Missouri, the roadmap is quite easy to get that title because of the strength of the schedule. On this spot, Saban mentioned one needs to step up and prove that they can take down Bulldogs. So, the final result is totally uncertain. Let me know your prediction in the comment box below.
