The Tide has rolled in. With 3 back-to-back wins, Kalen DeBoer and Co. are on an unstoppable roll. It feels hard to believe that this is the same team that gave us the upset against Vandy and Vols. They sure have managed to redeem themselves and you also gotta give it to Kalen DeBoer for never losing his faith in his boys. Especially Jalen Milroe. This once decorated QB had quite the downfall in terms of production and overall pressure, but boy oh boy, the comeback he made against LSU and now against Mercer? Yeah, the bye-week did this guy a lot of favor. But we also gotta bring in some sad news else there is no balance.
With this season almost done and Bama on an 8-2 run, the NFL draft will come knocking, which means Milroe has to go. So, who will DeBoer rely on next to carry the team through the 2025 season? Well, we have some picks. Back on X Stephen M. Smith pointed out something important. “A lot of young players getting an opportunity to play for Alabama on offense. Dylan Lonergan, Austin Mack, Kevin Riley, Daniel Hill, Bubba Hampton, Rico Scott, Ty Lockwood, and Jay Lindsey just to name some,” Smith mentioned. Out of these names, 3 stand out above the rest. Ty, Dylan, and Austin were explosive on that turf.

Ty Simpson came in first and instantly managed to bring in 71 yards along with 5 out of 10 passes completed. Dylan Lonergan was the next guy, and he got around 23 yards under his belt. Finally, Austin Mack brought in 1 touchdown along with 39 yards. DeBoer’s staff did the perfect job cycling between these 3 QBs on that turf.
It showed us that the Bama squad has enough talent to fill the gap if Milroe leaves next year for the drafts. And that ain’t even the best part. While the offense has regained its momentum, the Tide defense remains the cherry on top of that cake.
Jihaad Campbell has been a menace on that D-line. Dude shook the entire Mercer offense with ease and got in 9 total tackles. He was a mad-lad against LSU as well. With 12 total tackles under his belt against the Tigers. God knows what magic DC Kane Wommack has done to the Tide defense, but whatever it is, it is getting the job done with ease. And now, rolling forward, it looks like the playoff dream is more clear than ever.

The Crimson Tide vs the Sooners
With Mercer out, Oklahoma is the next target on the crosshair and Sooners fans think this game is gonna turn into a bloodbath. See, against Tide, Oklahoma faces a very important test. The Sooners are on a 5-5 run and after that loss to the Longhorns during the Red River Rivalry, the team has lost all credibility.
Defeating DeBoer is their only shot at redemption, but will it even be possible? If we check the Mizzou vs Sooners game, it is clear that the team is in shambles. They barely managed to cross past the 257 total yards mark against Mizzou and brought in 23 points.

Keep in mind, Mizzou is the same team that went scoreless against the Tide and was one of DeBoer’s redemption games after the horrendous Vandy, South Carolina, and Vols run. Oklahoma opens as the 13-point underdog and it doesn’t look like they stand a chance. This will end up becoming a stat-padding game for DeBoer and Co. as they get one step closer to the playoff list.
