Alabama is riding high after its Tuscaloosa 41-34 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night. It’s almost a month into the 2024 college football season and Kalen DeBoer has ticked a couple of his targets after crushing Georgia. The Crimson Tide are now leading in the SEC. This week Kalen DeBoer is ready to roll in Nashville. “I thought the guys did an excellent job, said DeBoer while interacting with media on Monday to sum up Alabama’s victory over Georgia and to be ready for this week’s game against Vanderbilt.

When a reporter asked him about Alabama’s battle-tested in the second half and what they were learning out of it. Although the reporter did not mention Georgia, we know Alabama struggled during the second half because of Georgia’s late 34-33 lead. However, Alabama responded with a game-changing 75-yard touchdown pass to regain the lead and come out victorious. The reporter hinted at last Saturday’s matchup against Georgia.

But the thing is, DeBoer just cut Georgia down in his answer. Look at what he said: “Each game provides experiences, right? Every game, every opportunity, and we all have our experiences out of being here in Alabama, all the areas, places we came from, and we talked about this as a team, for us to start fast, like we have the last two games.” Now you must think the game against Georgia and Kirby Smart or something like that will come from his mouth, but nahh! Instead, he mentioned Western Kentucky.

He discussed playing against Kentucky and South Florida. They learned a lot and all that, but you won’t find a word describing something about Georgia. “We did it against Western Kentucky; it’s all Florida games. I think we learned a lot, but I like that because that shows the preparation and the confidence that, as a result of it, we hit the ground running. Yes, we would like to have a better second half. One play here, one play there, a small little piece that would be part of the third quarter. And part of the third quarter changed that game.” So Kalen DeBoer described how they struggled in the game against Kentucky and how they secured a win, but why not anything about their biggest win till now in the season? Why not Georgia? Are the echoes of this rivalry still haunting him even after securing a win? With that said, let’s learn about Saturday’s game between these teams.
