Kalen DeBoer’s start to life at Alabama has been decent. A good Week 1, a decent quarter (three tight quarters) in Week 2 and a good away performance in Week 3. The coaches love to have areas of improvement after every game. It’s doubly special when you have those areas with a tick in the win column. So far, so good, but lots to improve! And whatever DeBoer may or may not say, the comparison with the GOAT won’t stop. On his part, DeBoer has no issues addressing questions concerning Nick Saban’s legacy at Alabama.

The new head coach of Crimson Tide shed light on the former head coach Nick Saban’s cherished items after a major overhaul of the Alabama office. The renovation popped up significant questions about what happened to Saban’s valuable and memorable belongings. In an interview on The Rich Eisen Show, DeBoer said, “It’s pretty sweet; you know, you see all those pictures, and I know we were real careful to make sure we kept all the things intact as far as the furniture and made sure it’s in a good, safe place. And you know, the legacy that comes along with it in the office can continue to be there for everyone to know about.” He emphasized the importance of Crimson Tide’s office’s legacy, acknowledging the sentimental values behind former HC’s stuff.

By winning three games, players have shown their impressive performance at all positions. DeBoer praised their pass-rush consistency on the defensive line. But at the same time, he stressed and focused that the run defense “has to improve” ahead of their big game against the Bulldogs. He brought to the notice that there were moments against the Badgers where his team struggled to stop the run effectively.
