We have to settle with this new Crimson Tide team now. Yeah, they were once an elite program under the OG coach Nick Saban, but now the story is different. Kalen DeBoer is failing to fill Saban’s shoes. A few weeks ago, when they took down Georgia, fans thought this team was finally finding its feet, but the fairytale ended after Vandy and turned into a nightmare after Tennessee. Alabama fans are now tired of Kalen DeBoer and already missing Saban. If that’s the case with fans, how can the college football world’s biggest critic keep calm? Paul Finebaum finally breaks his silence on Kalen DeBoer and Alabama’s pathetic condition.
A college football analyst recently talked with Finebaum, where they discussed Alabama’s poor condition under head coach DeBoer. Finebaum started by saying, “I think the real issue now is Kalen DeBoer going to experience things that no coach at Alabama has experienced in two decades, and that’s all the noise. And the noise in Alabama is loud. I was in Alabama last week, Matt for two days, and I really was going through the TSA at the airport, and somebody, somebody working at the airport, grabbed me and said, Hey, what’s with this guy? And what guy he said, the guy, the guy coaching at Alabama, that was before the Tennessee game. Want to mention his name?
Well, that’s not even a shocker because, yeah, that’s the emotion of fans right now. They are literally fed up being the loyal fans or defending DeBoer and his boys. Believe it or not, it could never have happened in the mentorship of Nick Saban. When a team faces defeat one after another, of course, everybody is going to call out the head coach. Kalen DeBoer has to be prepared to answer all those angry fans.

Finebaum lashed out at DeBoer, saying, “I mean, there was almost a bailout of the bore. And I’m not trying to say because I ran into a guy in a coffee shop or a guy at the airport that’s the newest CNN Fox MSNBC tracking poll, but I talked to enough people, and I hear from enough people from that database, and they were beside themselves and yeah, I mean, he’s going to get better for Cameron to work.

I mean, he inherited a pretty good team and has made a mess out of it. So why are we now going to believe that this guy, who has never been in anything like this before, is suddenly going to figure it out?” Finebaum said fans were reacting like this even before the Tennessee game. Now that Alabama has lost against the Vols, we can’t say what is left for the Bama boys in college football this season. With that, Finebaum is not the only one who’s criticizing DeBoer.
Fans don’t want Kalen DeBoer’s boys in the playoffs
When Kalen DeBoer’s team fell 17-24 against Tennessee, they instantly became targets of the trolls and analysts. Not only that, but no one has even forgotten their 27-25 tight win over South Carolina. While many of them took the issue to social media and expressed their feelings. College football host Brandon Walker shared on ‘X, “Kalen DeBoer destroying what Nick Saban built at Alabama in just 7 games is damn impressive,” he said, pouring sarcasm.

CBS analyst and Ohio alum Cardale Jones was shocked after watching last week’s game. “I’m shocked to see the lack of discipline this Alabama program continues to display each week. Outside of losing, Kalen Deboer needs to get a grip on things before that Obama fan base runs him out of town!
