Is Malachi Moore's outburst a sign of passion or a lack of leadership in Bama's defense?

When Bama was seen struggling against Vanderbilt during the first half of the game, Kristen Saban was the first one to point out that the team’s defense was not working out. Kalen DeBoer and Co. allowed Vanderbilt to take the lead very easily. The biggest blow was Randon Fontenette’s touchdown on an interception. To think that Kalen DeBoer’s defensive line would allow something like this was wild.

Naturally, the veteran Malachi Moore was angry. With him throwing away his mouth guard across the field while yelling at the Bama sideline, no one had thought they would see this calm and composed guy lose his cool. The Next Round took to X to share what DeBoer had to say about the entire outburst. “There’s a lot of guys that are really frustrated. I think the key is that we turn that frustration into positives moving forward and make sure we remember what we feel here tonight,” DeBoer noted during the post-game conference.

Being angry and throwing tantrums on the turf won’t fix the fact that the players took this game too lightly. The entire game serves as the perfect reality check for Moore and the entire Bama defensive line.

We had seen a similar pattern during the Georgia game as well. When the Tide got their lead during that rivalry match-up, the defense became too loose and started taking things lightly. This allowed Carson Beck and Co. to take the lead during the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Bama almost lost that game as well. However, thanks to WR, Ryan Williams, Kalen DeBoer and Co. managed to turn it around. To think that Moore would lack proper leadership is heartbreaking and embarrassing at the same time. If all of that wasn’t enough, Ole Miss HC had the time of his life watching the final moments of the game unfold.

Bama’s loss was quite the trip for Lane Kiffin

Brad Logan shared on X a snap of Rebels HC Lane Kiffin glued to the TV screen. Ole Miss is coming off a 27-3 win over South Carolina and what’s a better way to unfold than to watch your old team bite the dust?

Kiffin was completely focused on Vanderbilt moping the floor with the current No.1 team on the AP polls. What you gotta keep in mind is that you cannot even bash Kiffin for enjoying the game. Vanderbilt brought forward so many issues that still exist in the Bama defense and offense. Let’s hope that DeBoer finds time to wrap all of this up.
