Who are the leaders, who are the dogs, and who are the quitters?” Deion Sanders is about to make his boy sweat in the trenches. One question that has always circled in our head (and the fans’) – what is next for the Buffs? 2024 was a huge success. This program went from “irrelevant in the big picture of college football” to creating history by having one of the best runs since 2017. If Coach Prime can make Paul Finebaum choke on his words, then you bet he can take this program to great heights – but how? With the draft, Deion Sanders is going to lose out on a lot – like Mercedes without Lewis Hamilton – Buffs are going to fall apart without Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Or will they?

Back on Reach The People, we saw a whole new perspective at practice camp – Deion brought out the US Marine Corps to straighten up his boys. “What y’all have right here together to be a team is going to be changing the whole world, changing everything you see in college football. All eyes are on you right now. But really, before we can get there to a championship, y’all gotta learn to work together,” one of the Marine officers pointed out. If you want to be the leader – you have to bring out that dog. It is as simple as that and Deion is fully in on the idea. Make the boys sweat in the trenches – bleed if needed – anything that can make this team bond and work together is good.

See, taking up Shedeur’s mantle won’t come easy. While Julian Lewis is arguably one of the best QBs, Deion could’ve ever asked for – to be in the pocket and think as surgically as Shedeur – does not come easy. You can be Elite11 Most Accurate Passer, but how far will a title get you if you don’t show the same mechanics during an actual game?

And the same goes for the rest of the boys. All it takes is a bad snap to end at the bottom of the leaderboard and with what Deion has achieved this season – he surely cannot risk that. The first problem that the Buffs MUST figure out is the O-line.

This has always been a major area of concern for Coach Prime and those sack numbers on Shedeur don’t lie. Every time you expect this O-line to hold – it crumbles like a wafer. This has plagued the program for 2 years at this point – so could we finally see a change?

What’s your perspective on:

Will the Buffs crumble without Shedeur Sanders, or is Julian Lewis ready to step up?

Another big change for the Buffs

Khalil Benson and Nikhai Hill-Green both calling it quits had to be the biggest blow for any Buffs fan out there. This was unexpected – but required… Here us out: Colorado’s 2025 O-line start could be pure domination: We got Carde Smith, Chauncey Gooden, and Jay Gardenhire joining the ranks.

Take that, add Jordan Seaton = you get the perfect mix of new talent and veteran talent sticking together to protect Lewis. Now could this backfire? Yes, there is always a chance but no risk, no gain, folks. On the wideout, Lewis is going to have more hands than he bargained for.

See, we know for a fact that Deion’s WR room will revolve around Omarion Miller and Drelon Miller, but there is another player everyone should keep an eye on: Joseph Williams. When this Utah commit flipped to Colorado, something about him made us scratch our chin.

Why does he look eerily similar to LaJohntay Wester? The route running and space and the capacity to follow the football perfectly – it was an identical match to Wester’s offseason showcase. This gets our hopes high on his ability to bring out some massive catches on the big stage.
