Is Georgia's Carson Beck ready to replace Daniel Jones in the NFL? What do you think?

One game and poof! The Georgia Bulldogs haters have vanished. Before Saturday, October 19’s face-off between No.1 Steve Sarkisian’s Texas Longhorns and No.5 Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs, hopes reigned high for the top program. Even though analyst Josh Pate too dropped in big comments about the Dawgs facing an identity crisis, right before the game, he has been wise enough to drop in some insights in Georgia’s favor. All thanks to the Dawgs QB Carson Beck that Pate flipped his mind. And guess what? He has been absolutely spot-on with his analysis of Beck’s supremacy.

Moving into the 2024 season, Beck and the Dawgs enjoyed being in the top spot. But it took them 8 weeks to drop down to No.5. But do you know what came as the last nail in the coffin? Their 41-35 big loss against Kalen DeBoer’s Crimson Tide. While on the other hand, Sarkisian and his boys came off with zero losses this season, ZERO. This was enough to drain all the hopes before the Longhorns face-off seeing which Pate dished out a bold claim, “I did say that this year’s Texas team looks more like Georgia than this Georgia team looks like past versions of Georgia, all the stuff that Georgia normally brings to the table.” But just a few hours before the game, the analyst came up with a new take in Smart’s favor, “I think it’s a Carson Beck game. Man, it’s got to be a Carson Beck game.”

To further validate his point, Pate added, “I think uh as much as I think Texas is the better team.” Smart’s star QB deserves all the credit for the key play as the Dawgs came on a third-and-10 from its own 11 on Saturday. Well, it would not have been possible if Beck had not connected with Arian Smith for a 21-yard pickup. This eventually led to the QB finding Oscar Delp for a 43-yard gain.

Beck also helped in getting the first touchdown of the night and then came up with a 17-yard pass to Dominic Lovett as Trevor Etienne capped off the short drive through the teeth of the Longhorns’ defense delivering a 15-yard touchdown run. And what about Sarkisian’s Texas?

Carson Beck’s NFL Draft prospects on the horizon

Maybe going by the hype and the prediction coming from breaking Smart’s 50-game streak, Sarkisian’s army ended up taking the Dawgs too lightly. They might have forgotten that Georgia has an SEC tag. While they got the bitter taste of ‘Welcome to the SEC,’ things are already looking good for QB Beck.

He has come off with flying colors pushing the Dawgs a step ahead to getting back the SEC Championship. Well, Beck’s future has gone far beyond the college football limits. Now that he has reached the fag end of his college football career, the next step is NFL. And guess what? Beck is already predicted to flourish in the first step, which is the 2025 NFL Draft.
