Will Deion Sanders' charm sway Alexander McPherson away from Oklahoma State to join the Buffs?

A three-star edge rusher from the IMG academy, Alexander McPherson has been committed to the Oklahoma State Cowboys since June 2024. But these commitments are not like you’re taking wows or something! Everyone in this sport knows that. It gives an edge to the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders, who have been flirting with this young guy for quite some time now, trying to get his word. With the exit of players like Hunter and Shedeur, Coach Prime is in a big hunt to add elite talent to his 2025 class. Especially after watching true freshman Jordan Seaton‘s performance this season, Coach Prime is determined to add young talent.

However, as per the latest revelations coming from the On3 analyst, Josh Newberg suggests that Coach Prime is not going after one but four players from the IMG. Newberg started by pointing out Coach Prime’s search hunt for talented players from IMG. “Colorado, they’re not gonna strike out at IMG. So the question is, are they gonna go one for four, two for four, three for four, or knock it all out of the park and land all four?”

Newberg raised a question about the ongoing recruitment process at the buffs and how they’re planning to land commitments from IMG players. He went on by giving names of the players who were likely to join the Buffs for their 2025 cycle. “The way Colorado is getting their young players ready to play, like Jordan Seaton, and they’re having a lot of success. Michael Carroll is a plug-and-play player at Colorado. He’s a day-one starter if he chooses the Buffaloes, so all of that is exciting for him. On 3, five-star Alexander McPherson visited. He’s an edge rusher… When it comes to Julian Lewis’ timetable for a commitment, what are you looking at? Is it advantageous for Juju to maybe jump on board and help Colorado recruit for the next two and a half weeks?”

Newberg highlighted the names of the four possible players from the IMG who are likely to join Deion Sanders’s crew.  Michael Carroll, Alexander McPherson, and Julien Lewis Juju are giving strong signs to announce for the buffs any day soon. With that being mentioned, let’s look at each of these guys and what Deoin Sanders’ is getting in the form of these guys. Furthermore, he mentioned one more guy, Amari Jones, who’s also an IMG Academy prospect.

Four prospects are going to join Coach Prime and the Buffs

It looks like the buffs and the IMG academy are developing some strong professional relations. Especially after several IMG Academy prospects are visiting the Buffs on their game days and are likely to join them after watching last weekend’s game against Utah. The current players, like Jordan Seaton and Cash Cleveland, also come from IMG Academy; they are making waves at the buffs.

One of the much-talked-about prospects from the IMG academy is Alexander McPherson, who has already committed to Oklahoma State. However, the defensive lineman can flip his commitment to the Buffs entering the 2025 cycle. The 6-foot-5.5 and 240-pounder McPherson is a three-star prospect rated by most of the recruits.

Then there is Michael Carroll, who’s currently committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide; however, Deion Sanders is also laying his eyes on the interior offensive lineman. The 6-foot-6 and 315-pounder have given enough hints to join the buffs for their 2025 class. Colorado’s 2025 class will be secure if they get commitment from this five-star recruit.

A four-star prospect, the 6-foot-1.5 and 160-pounder Amari Jones also comes from Bradenton, Florida, and is likely to join coach Prime’s squad.  If Deion Sanders stays successful in lagging commitments from these boys, their connection with the IMG is going to be a hit one.
