Is Jack Tuttle the savior Michigan needs, or just another false hope for the Wolverines?

Ever wonder what kind of thoughts might be haunting Sherrone Moore? Is he failing to fill the legendary head coach Jim Harbaugh’s shoes? That’s true because of what glorious days the Michigan Wolverines have seen under Harbaugh’s mentorship compared to what they are facing nowadays. A 4-2 record? From last year’s national champions? A heartbreaking 17-27 loss to an unranked team in Washington last weekend? Seriously! That’s not what Michigan’s die-hard fans recognize it for. Let’s find out what college football’s famous critic, Joel Klatt, has to say about Michigan’s pathetic situation.

Joel Klatt revealed his top five teams in the Big Ten, SEC, and Big 12 after analyzing the ongoing college football season on the Joel Klatt Show: A College Football Podcast. However, before Michigan fans build any hope, let us tell you he did not include it on the list. He started by saying that Michigan was doing good initially, “then all of a sudden, the three series after that, when they’re turning the ball over, you’re like, oh, this isn’t going to work.”

Klatt said while highlighting the inconsistency in Michigan’s performance, especially after they started turning the pigskin over. He pointed out that there are times when Michigan looks solid but then unravels quickly, which sends shockwaves to fans about Michigan’s ability to sustain strong play through the games.

Klatt made some harsh comments, saying, “Any team in the Big 10 can beat Michigan. if they continue to turn the football over, then a lot of teams could beat them, and you look at the rest of their schedule, and it’s pretty easily two or three more losses if they’re turning the ball over.” He explained how Michigan’s mistakes make them susceptible to losing against any team in the Big 10 despite their talent. That’s the reason their dominance in college football is compromising. Klatt also shed some positive light on the program when talking about the recent QB changes revolving around Jack Tuttle.

Did Sherrone Moore change quarterback for the Illinois game?

Although it was uncertain about Moore’s decision on Monday afternoon, he made it official. Saying that the seventh-year senior Jack Tuttle would start against Illinois. If he stays up to his decision, then Tuttle can transform the No. 22 ranked Wolverines’ 4-2,2-1 Big Ten, on Saturday to take down No. 21 ranked Illinois.

While chatting with the media about Jack Turtle, Moore said, “He obviously hadn’t practiced for a whole length of time then got to practice and play in the game.” Moore talked about Tuttle, who entered last week’s game against Washington in the second quarter. Looking at Michigan’s poor state right now, Tuttle’s entry might put a smile on Michigan fan’s faces.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jack Tuttle the savior Michigan needs, or just another false hope for the Wolverines?

Have an interesting take?

In the last game, Tuttle completed 10 of 18 passes for 98 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Added to that, he scored 17 points on the first three drives to tie the game late in the third quarter. However, his performance was good but wasn’t perfect, as the senior also fumbled and threw a last-moment interception that resulted in Michigan’s loss.

However, Sherrone Moore still has high hopes for him and even praised his performance after the game. “For three days of practice, really, went into the game and competed at a high level.” With that, we can see a fresh and transformed Michigan Wolverines this weekend, given “Uncle Jack‘s” entry.
