About time we started talking about all this. See, Deion Sanders has done something wild this year. You know, that entire “Hollywood” and “playing for clicks” team has now ended the 2024 season with a 9-win run. If that isn’t a comeback, we don’t know what is. Say what you want about Deion Sanders, but you still have to admit that in just 2 years, he has changed Colorado Buffs football. Roll back to when the Buffs were 1-11 without Coach Prime. No one knew about these guys and now they were off to the Bowl games. If any head coach out there deserves the Coaches Award, it must be Deion Sanders. But now, here’s a complicated question; what does Deion do after this?

We all know that Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are off to the NFL, so will Coach Prime still stick with the Buffs or write a new destiny with some other team? This is exactly where the Dallas Cowboys come in, but there is a catch. Back on FanDuel, when asked who Jerry Jones should go for, Bill Belichick or Deion Sanders? Marvin Harrison Sr. mentioned, “You have to go Deion.” Simple enough, but here is the twister; “One of his biggest concerns coming in the league is what if you get the wrong kind of quarterback? And now you and your quarterback stop working together,” Harrison added.

This is exactly where the Dak Prescott dilemma comes in. This guy is getting paid more than $200 million, but for WHAT? Dude is already out of the season because of that Hamstring injury and has thrown almost as many interceptions as touchdowns up until now. If that isn’t enough, Prescott has been nothing but a liability when it comes down to big games because this guy just keeps choking.

If Jerry Jones wants Coach Prime, which is a move he should be considering, if he wants to save the Cowboys empire, he has to get rid of his QB. Picking Shedeur Sanders is probably the safest bet for Jones.

It might sound like a fever dream, but even Paul Finebaum is in on the entire Deion-Shedeur to the $11 billion empire idea. “He’s beaten the odds, you know, good time to get out,” Finebaum mentioned. Mike McCarthy has been a liability, so picking up Coach Prfime will not only give Jones the media attention he craves, but Deion also has a much bigger shot at switching up the pace for the Cowboys just like he did for the Buffs. But wait. For all of this to even happen, Deion Sanders has to leave the Buffs. Will he?

Colorado Buffs forever?

Maybe Deion will move on from the Buffs at some point, but is this the year? We get it; Shedeur is off, and so is Hunter, so Deion is pretty much starting fresh for the 2025 season. But here is the deal: there is still a lot at stake.

What’s your perspective on:

Should Deion Sanders ditch the Buffs for the Cowboys, or is he better off staying put?

Have an interesting take?

See, Colorado almost cut it into the Big 12 championship game, but it was stolen away with Iowa St and BYU winning this weekend. So, what makes you think Deion Sanders won’t aim for the same next year? And if that wasn’t a big enough reason, Buffs are making the University of Colorado millions.

So what makes you think that the Athletic director would let Deion go so easily? Now for a trifecta: Julian Lewis is committed to Colorado. Coach Prime has his hands on the best candidate to replace Shedeur Sanders. Why will he let this all go?
