Jaxson Dart’s motto seems to be: ‘If I get the chance to help others, I gotta go all-in.’ And that’s exactly what he’s doing. This Ole Miss Rebels quarterback isn’t just a beast on the field—leading his team to a solid 9-3 season and a memorable 28-10 beatdown of Georgia—he’s also proving he’s got a golden heart off the field.
Jaxson knows firsthand how challenging life can get for college athletes, especially when adversity strikes. Recently, he stepped up big time to support a community college athlete who’s facing a brutal fight: cancer’s back. It’s a heartbreaking situation, not just emotionally but financially. Knowing the heavy burden that comes with such a diagnosis, Jaxson used his platform to make a difference.
On December 21, he posted a picture of Afu Fiefia to his Instagram story with the message, “With you all the way brother!”—complete with a heart emoji. The background song? “Counting My Blessings,” with lyrics like “God, I’m still counting my blessings/For all that You’ve done in my life.” It’s clear Jaxson’s gratitude fuels his desire to give back. This isn’t just a symbolic gesture. Jaxson is rallying support to ease the financial strain and show Afu he’s not in this fight alone. After all, life’s bigger than football—it’s about stepping up when it matters most.

Afu Fiefia is a remarkable 18-year-old who has an unrivaled work ethic and a compassionate heart. He is dealing with the unthinkable: the recurrence of cancer. At the age of 14, Afu was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. His initial tumor started in his left leg, and scans showed that it had grown to his lungs, pelvis, abdomen, and lymph nodes. The odds were stacked against him, with doctors predicting a mere 15% chance of living beyond five years. Fiefia received forty-three doses of radiation and fourteen cycles of chemotherapy on different body areas. Well, his athletic background gave him a fighting chance to overcome this. And then a miracle happened!

Afu Fiefia has been back to his favorite activity (football) since March 2023. It was not a normal comeback. He helped his team win a portion of the 6A Region 1 Championship while playing both WR and CB for Farmington High School. He received “The True Phoenix Award” and was selected to the All-Region 1st Team. Sadly, on December 11, 2024, Afu’s family was informed that the disease had returned. This time, it was accompanied by a sizable growth in his abdomen and a few cysts in his lungs.
Afu’s parents are facing a difficult situation, and right now, financial assistance is the best way to support them. That’s why Jaxson’s Instagram story encouraged people to donate through the AFU GoFundMe or Venmo account. The quarterback also makes it clear that Afu is not fighting this battle alone. Yeah, we’re all here to support him. But as you may remember, this is not the first time Jaxson showed his compassion.

Jaxson Dart was really feeling it for Braden Waterman
Ole Miss QB Braden Waterman just beat a tough opponent: Hodgkin’s lymphoma. After a four-year battle with this rare blood cancer, including intense chemo, he’s finally cancer-free. Feeling grateful and relieved, he’s ready to move forward. Back on December 16, Braden Waterman shared the wonderful news of his recovery on Instagram, making his QB Jaxson Dart and his fans very happy. And Dart used his Instagram accounts to display his joy. Shortly after the news, Dart posted a story about Braden’s recovery, writing, “So happy for you bro!”
In addition to this, just a few days ago, Jaxson Dart was spreading some serious cheer. Nicholas Air shared some awesome photos from their recent Stuff the Plane Teddy Bear Drive, saying, “At the annual Stuff the Plane teddy bear drive this past Monday, @nicholasair joined forces with @jaxsondart and @childrensofms!” It’s such a cool thing to do. Basically, people could donate teddy bears to bring a smile to kids’ faces. And guess what? Jaxson jumped on board and donated! That’s the kind of guy he is.

Furthermore, Dart has previously participated in community service. Do you recall the “Night to Shine” prom hosted by the Tim Tebow Foundation? An event for high school students with special needs only? Yes, Dart participated in that as well. See, that’s the kind of heart this 21-year-old has.
