Yes, we all know how the Alabama Crimson Tide had a lackluster season in 2024. However, some star players still survived away from Nick Saban’s shadow. One of them being his 2021 recruit, Jalen Milroe. Right now, he is considered one of the most physically gifted quarterback prospects in the draft class tied with a top-5 NFL franchise.
At the beginning of the year, on January 2, Milroe announced he would forgo his senior season and declared for the NFL draft. While the Alabama fans are waiting with bated breath to find where he lands, Milroe announced a major career decision. Here, Milroe’s namesake and Alabama ex-player, Jalen Hurts stood as an inspiration.

When it comes to the 2024 season, it has been a rollercoaster ride for Milroe. One of his best feats from the last season was during Crimson Tide’s impressive Week 5 win against Georgia. What an indomitable force the quarterback came off as! His moves showcased him leveling up his passing game. Sadly, in the latter half, Milroe lost his charm. The Alabama QB is now walking into the NFL Draft after throwing for 16 touchdowns and 2,844 yards with a 64.3 completion percentage. Sadly, he fails to garner all the limelight. Thanks to the Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders who is likely to find himself in the top-five pick. Amidst these tumultuous times, Milroe announced a major career decision on his agency representation.

After all, the quarterback is equipped with knowledge of how the college football landscape works. But when it comes to the NFL, he is new. So, he might need some professional representatives to pitch his talents to NFL scouts. So on Wednesday, January 22, Klutch Sports, the NFL agency announced that they have signed with Milroe. The caption read, “Welcome @milticketfour to our 2025 NFL Draft Class!” Later on, even the quarterback announced the news on his IG story with a folded hand emoji to share his gratitude to Klutch Sports and NFL agent Nicole Lynn. What made Milroe go for this agency?
Well, they are a big shot when it comes to agencies. Plus, they have also inked deals with Milroe’s teammates. For example, offensive lineman Tyler Booker, defensive lineman Timothy Smith, and linebacker Jihaad Campbell. Not just this. The agency owned by Rich Paul, LeBron James’ friend has also drafted players like Jalen Hurts who landed with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Myles Garrett who went with the Cleveland Browns, among others. So, even though apparently Milroe’s journey to the NFL looks all positive, ultimately there might be some roadblocks.

A 50-50 situation for Jalen Milroe
When it comes to quarterback boasting the crimson red color, it’s already a big advantage. That’s what analyst and Alabama alum Mick Gillispie said on the Bama Tailgate podcast. After all, Alabama has been the birthplace of some of the most notable signal callers who had a big NFL break, such as Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, and Bryce Young. He thus stated, “The one thing that we can sell to these recruits is we have had a pipeline of quarterbacks that have gone on to the NFL.”
As per the speculations, Milroe is likely to land with Cleveland. The Alabama QB further teased his fans through his IG story. He posted a snap of the Alabama plane in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns have the No.2 pick this NFL Draft where as Milroe is projected to be a first or second-round pick. Already the QB situation in Cleveland is a mess, thanks to Deshaun Watson. Plus, Tommy Rees has taken the reins as offensive coordinator. So, it’s likely that the coach might look for his former pupils that might give Milroe an advantage. But someone is going to rain on his parade.

According to NFL legend-turned-analyst Chad Johnson, the Browns might not land Jalen Milroe as their No.2 overall pick. On the Milroe situation, he commented, “No sir and that’s no disrespect to him…I can see ear early second I can see that now now that I can see but passing up on Travis Hunter..no.” Maybe the NFL program will not be able to resist Travis Hunter as he is believed to bring a Jim Brown-type impact on the franchise. After all, it’s for Brown that Cleveland rose to the limelight in rushing yardage every between 1957 and 1965, except 1962. Now let’s see if the NFL agency can come to any help.
