Is Jalen Milroe the scapegoat for Alabama's struggles, or is he the key to their success?

Jalen Milroe has been facing the heat, especially after Alabama’s 17-24 loss to Tennessee. As if his haters were waiting for another chance to troll him, they started calling out the “rotten apple‘ of the team. Many of them pointed out blaming him for intentionally targeting freshman Ryan Williams by throwing him 18 passes in that game! Not only that, with only a 55.6% completion rate, Milroe gave them another reason to call him out. These are only a few drops of the ocean of hate Milroe has been facing these days. But the latest update in this story is catching everyone’s attention.

On a recent episode of the ESPN college football show, Greg McElroy supported Jalen Milroe. ” So I think there’s a bit of a misconception about how the program is operated. In the last 18 years, yeah, the program’s been fantastic, but there have been peaks and valleys in every season, including last year, when they literally lived through the finish line in October with a couple of substandard performances.”

He added, “So this team, the last two years, has had some ups and downs in the first season, and then when they get to November, they played their best football. And that’s what Alabama is now going to be. They’ll have a buy this week to go and they pound Missouri. Really impressive performance.”

On 2nd and 8 from the Bama’s 36-yard line, Milroe threw for 32 yards to the Tigers’ 32-yard line on the fifth play over 20 yards, which was one of his memorable moments from the game.

Ran for 277-yard touchdowns. They also, I know Jalen didn’t light it up, but that’s, I don’t think that’s what Alabama wanted in this game. They were trying to get back more traditional rushing attack that Alabama has long been known for, has been a priority the last few weeks, and it’s starting to really pay dividends. Because while people live in Missouri and say. Well, Brady Cook, what not the offense, a lot of limitations.”
