Yeah, he can flex on em. It was the Baylor game that finally showed what Shedeur Sanders was capable of. While the Buffs were down and almost were about to lose the game, Shedeur Sanders had barely 3 seconds to make a decision. Either he was going to walk home with his head down just the Huskers game or he’s gonna give it one more shot. And Boom. There lands the Hail Mary as LaJohntay Wester manages to connect with Shedeur Sanders’ 43-yard pass.
So, yeah, he has all the right to flex a little. On the latest episode of Well Off Media, Deion Sanders Jr. puts up the question, “Are you the best quarterback?”. Shedeur had the perfect answer for it. “It was politics innit,” Shedeur mentioned. Now, you gotta keep this in mind. Despite the plays he made against the Rams and Baylor, Shedeur has not seen much hype around him. Heck, most lists still don’t put him on the top 10 lists.

And to think that all of this is just because he is Deion Sanders’ son. See, Shedeur Sanders is not an average QB. In 5 games itself, he has managed to rack up 14 touchdowns along with 1600+ yards under his belt. This ain’t no easy task. While it is true that against Nebraska, the confidence and talent of Shedeur were nowhere to be found, however, you also gotta admit that the O-line barely gave Shedeur enough moments to make good plays.
It all switched up from the Rocky Mountain Showdown. After the domination against the Rams, Shedeur’s presence from the pocket continued to improve, and he was at his peak when the Buffs faced off against the Knights. Arguably considered one of the fiercest run-heavy teams in CFB, UCF couldn’t even hold a candle to what Shedeur managed to get done.

28-35 pass completions along with 290 yards and 3 touchdowns. Shedeur Sanders dominated alongside Travis Hunter. People can cut him some slack because when Shedeur gets the needed protection from his O-line, he is pretty much unstoppable. However, the Buffs QB also gotta keep it in his head that too much pride can become his downfall.
Deion Sanders keeps it real
Back on the pre-game conference before the Buffs face off against their biggest threat, aka Wildcats, Deion Sanders decided to give Shedeur and Co. a much-needed reality check. “You learn a lot from successes,” Coach Prime mentioned. Deion’s main angle was that Shedeur and the rest of the boys need to learn from their wins as well. They cannot let their pride get to their heads.

It’s understandable why Coach Prime is serious about all of this. The Buffs are arguably in the most perfect spot right now. With a 4-1 run, if Deion can turn the Wildcats game into a W then it will be smooth sailing from there on. Now that Shedeur has access to a TE on the offensive line as well, it would mean that he can be even more comfortable than he was before. Against the Wildcats, this will be crucial.
And let’s not forget Deion’s defensive line. Robert Livingstone has already done his magic and Shilo Sanders coming back for the Kansas State game is pretty much the cherry on top. After a long while, Deion has access to all the talent he needs and this better be one of the best games Buffs put out.
