A great start and greater development in the later years (breakout 2022 session) earned him the coveted title of First Team All ACC and the Bill Maxwell Award for the most improved man in the team’s offensive line. Just like his son, Gadsden, he, too, had an early bloomer. But he didn’t choose football in the first place. His professional athletic career sailed off with basketball with a scholarship from Winston Salem State University. But his underneath love for football wiped it out pretty quickly and filled the shoes with a higher leap.

His College football career was no short of a banger, garnished with a colossal stat of 118 receptions, 2757 yards, and 42 touchdowns.

Gadsden, as a 27-year-old rookie, jumped ship to Miami Dolphins, as a support to O.J. McDuffie. He promptly started to deliver big time, catching a 44-yard touchdown pass in a marque match against the Indianapolis Colts. In the debut session, he set the bar high, bagging 48 receptions, 713 yards, and 7 receiving touchdowns. The streak of excellence escalated in the later years with Gadsden taking his team to a new height scoring a career-high 803 yards-6 touchdowns and 56 receptions for 786 yards and 6 touchdowns in the benchmark years of his career, 1999 and 2000 consecutively. However, a prolonged injury struggle cut his tenure short with the Dolphins around 2003.
