On Wednesday, it was revealed that Saban will be joining ESPN as an analyst. Saban will provide his knowledge on a range of events on ESPN’s platforms, including the SEC media days and the NFL draft. On Saban’s career transition decision, ESPN’s chairperson Jimmy Pitaro said, “Nick Saban is a singular, iconic presence in college football,“. Moreover, he mentioned, “He is also an extremely gifted communicator, who will immediately add even more credibility, authority, and entertainment value to ESPN, including our esteemed College GameDay show.”

Alongside, Saban said, “ESPN and College GameDay have played such an important role in the growth of college football, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to join their team,“. Additionally, in describing his effort for ESPN’s job, he stated, “I’ll do my best to offer additional insights and perspectives to contribute to College GameDay,“. Now the question is, since Saban was Alabama’s former coach, will he be a commentator for their game too?
