Ohio State faced a major roadblock as they got brutally crushed by their big-time rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, this past weekend. While the Wolverines were underdogs entering this game, Sherrone Moore‘s boys somehow found a way to beat their biggest rivals for the fourth straight time! All the talk about the $20 million roster? Remember the Kansas State transfer, Will Howard? Offensive weapons in Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith? Nothing helped Ryan Day, as his side allowed the Wolverines to play their flag in Ohio Stadium.
The energy they saved by playing horribly during the game was put to full use to stop the Michigan players from planting the flag. Well, truly embarrassing. The defeat also put Ryan Day’s position under the microscope. If he doesn’t win the Natty, it’s not a far-fetched scenario that he could be fired. However, before we go into the post-season games, Day has another chance to strengthen his position. Recruit better for next year.
