“He is a warrior,” said Spencer Danielson, Boise State coach, referring to Ashton Jeanty. Truly, he is. Ashton Jeanty scored the game-winning TD in the 4th quarter against UNLV, demonstrating his ability to make an impact even though he was obviously suffering from an arm injury. But Friday night’s game between his Broncos and the UNLV Rebels is one of the most important ones for both teams this season. And avoiding his injury, Jeanty made a 128-yard one-touchdown, which is exceptional for most of the players. But for a player like him, compared to his season-long numbers, it was a step back. Despite this, Ashton’s team got the victory over UNLV, 29-24.
But there’s something even more intriguing than UNLV’s big win. Ashton Jeanty’s performance against San Diego State had fans worried. As per the recent X post of Unnecessary Roughness, he was spotted wearing a brace on his left arm, raising questions about a possible injury. Well, Jeanty had to visit the medical tent during the first quarter of the previous game against UNLV. And now, with the brace, in the game against San Diego State, it seems like he’s still dealing with some sort of discomfort. However, his injuries did not cause him to leave the field. Well done! But his performance raises doubts about the severity of his injury.

As of now, in order to keep up in the Heisman odds battle, the Heisman contender needs to have a substantially higher stat line versus San Diego State tonight. Though the game isn’t over yet, Boise State is currently leading 35-10 at halftime. And Ashton also demonstrates his prowess even with the brace. Nevertheless, considering his injury problem, his performance against Rebel was really outstanding. “He was proud of the way his guys finished the half. He called them a resilient team – much like his running back Ashton Jeanty, who’s battling through a left arm injury. They said they would see how he is feeling at the half, but that he is a warrior,” his coach said, praising his perseverance.
